  1. If you are picking one of the colors in that photo I would vote for graphite.
  2. I understand about them getting lost in the black. Here is a bigger pic of mine with flat black pipes.
  3. Nice bike....What a find! How are the new tires holding up? Im torn between the Michelin PP3s and the Angel GTs. BTW, to continue the darkening you might want to consider ceramic coating your pipes...see profile pic....
  4. Rides are posted up on the local Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/414164978714477/
  5. Colorado Timberline is a great place to order shirts. They will make em with an inkjet style printer so they don't feel like a sticky patch from the inside and they are very affordable in small batch runs. I use em for an event my crew and I put on every year in Ouray, Colorado. Oh, and the printing holds up well in the wash.
  6. Bingo! I like that setup and will be working on obtaining a similar one soon. I understand that you can add those spacers to the bracket on the bottom of you bag rather than the tank ring?
  7. I run the M4 slip ons, not sure what pipes I have since I just recently bought the bike. Pipes appear to be ceramic coated and are black. I get no lull or flat spots upon acceleration and get lots of compliments on how the bike sounds. Ill try to get a clip up soon.
  8. It is not a direct drop in…unfortunately. I went over to Revival Cycles the other day to talk to the guys about the drop in possibility. They have a way to do it but it does not look that great, the led light sticks out a bit rather than flush. They did talk about milling a replacement ring for this light and our buckets. Apparently some of the older Ducatis use the same size bucket so it is possible that they may do a run at some point.
  9. Looks like them but I found them stateside here: http://www.casporttouring.com/cst/motorcycles/GRIPPUP.html Three sizes available for cheap. I need to measure but would guess smalls would work.
  10. Ive got a chiro and will ask him about it. That guy can hurt me in a good way and for all intensive purposes he has done more to correct my allergies than anyone else ever could. The tip of my forefinger goes numb even when it just gets cold. For the price I may give the GPs a try.
  11. Anyone use Grip Puppies? http://www.grip-puppy.co.uk My right forefinger and thumb tend to go numb and I have been searching for a solution. There are lots of grips out there that claim to reduce vibration but Grip Puppies seem to have the best reviews. You can buy them online for cheap. Any input on them?
  12. Trying to avoid ethanol is almost like trying to avoid oxygen anymore… Ive had several experiences with clogged air filters so I know what you are talking about Jim. Foil tape works wonders and now the underside of my gas tank looks like a baked potato!
  13. Finally pulled the tank to install the HID kit and check the air filter. Last time I lifted the tank to look under it I thought I saw a K&N filter and docc guessed it correctly, if I could see my filter then my airbox had been modified by the PO as shown here: I pulled it and cleaned the filter and did find that much of the heat shield was not in tack but rather hanging loose around the edges. I fixed all that up with foil tape and its good as new. there was a line coming off of the right side nipple, I assume for the overflow. Ill need to get some more line and a Y to attach the two lines at some point, for now its all back together with the HID kit installed. Hardest part was getting the damn tank bolt threaded back in its proper hole! Thanks for all the tips! Cheers
  14. Thanks for the cooking spray tip and yes, I will run it until the low fuel light comes on.
  15. Thanks for the tips. It will be a week or so before I attempt this, ill report back with pics. Ill also do a thread on the HID install along with the rewire of the harness to make it work.
  16. Ive been messing with it and mine has the external fuel pump so it looks like all I have to do is: Remove the seat and tank bolt Turns off the shut off, it spins easily so no 6' channel locks are necessarry... Remove the fuel lines from both sides Remove the electrical connection that I assume is the low fuel light? Does that unscrew? I was able to lift the tank a bit and I think there is a K&N already there. When I bought the bike someone had spent some $ coating the pipes black, adding slip ons, custom painting the tank and adding a power commander so the K&N would not be a stretch. Im going to have to attack this sooner than later. I purchased an HID kit from DDM and the harness will run under the tank. Mighty nice of them to tell you that they don't actually have a specific motorcycle harness, they just supply you one for a car and you just don't use one side. On top of that ill have to cut the harness apart to make it work since the leads are not long enough to do a damn thing with. Enough of the soap box, now back to the regular thread.
  17. Thanks Docc, so you do have to take the tank totally off to get to the air filter?
  18. Any update on the CG-9002,is it a better fit? Also, I am a noob and almost feel silly asking this but I can't find the answer anywhere. Do I have to remove the tank to get to the filter? I have read about tank removal but that seems like quite a bit to do to get to air the filter. Any tips?
  19. [AOL] D'accordo! [/AOL] This is nicely executed although I think the point is it needs to have "v11lemans.com" on it. ;-) I'd buy a short or long sleeved T with this logo!
  20. Nice write up and I like how bright the light is. Im not sure how another bucket would look on my bike. My hope was to use the stock one and I may be able to modify it somehow.
  21. I just pulled the stock headlight and this is now a mute point. The replacement is a good bit smaller than stock so it will not fit in the current housing. Well, it will fit but it would fall out or just bounce around. Looks like the DDM kit is going to have to work...any feedback on their kit is appreciated. I have the car kits installed and they work well.
  22. Ive seen the one from Revival and it looks real cool. They are local to me and I would love to buy from them but $300 is kinda pricey. Ive seen the Truck Lite brand online for about $190...there are a couple others out there but none look as good. I think I will compare the specs of the two and to see if it will work if no one else responds. Revival does carry a set of 3-led slimline turn signals that I am pretty hot on.
