swooshdave
I'm gone from Photobucket (die in hell), Flickr (join them) and now on Imgur.com. I'm hoping that billions of memes will not be suddenly blacked out. The internet might stop working...
docc
Looks like if I want to re-post existing image attachments that are stored on (or for) V11LM.c, I should re-source them and host them externally, on like imgzeit. Unless a thumbnail will do . . . Perhaps the Admins have a procedure that an existing image "attachment" in the profile can be re-posted . . . . bbolesaz
OK, how to I place an image in a post. The image is hosted on another website (not imgzeit). FOUND IT. Click "Other Media" in the lower right corner, select "Insert image from URL", put your https (must be https) link for the image in the box.
docc
Yeah, somehow this forum's image management system no longer uses "BBCode" like it used to, but displays "direct" links beginning with "https", but NOT beginning and ending with [img] as BBCode does.

Reviewing this thread, It is probably worth emphasizing what @bbolesaz posted about "https." Not just "http", the "s" is required to post a link. Think "s" = "secure." And, again, "BBcode", that begins and ends with "[img]", will no longer display. Paste "Copy Image Link" to posts or use "direct" (https) links to display images.
