  1. The CO trim function is really pretty easy to understand. For every increase or decrease in the number the ECU adds, (From memory?) 100 microseconds of pulse width to the injection period. The thing is that it does this as a blanket increase across the map so at idle, when very little fuel is being delivered it makes a considerable difference but at wider throttle openings where fuel delivery is already high the effect is negligible and generally is only noticeable in increased or decreased fuel usage over a period of time. If you are running a bike with lambda input you can screw about with the trim to your hearts content but the moment you disconnect the tool the trim will default to 'Zero' and it will trim to the lambda signal. If you turn the lambda input off in the map you can then adjust the CO trim and save it. Now this isn't my area of expertise and I'm just repeating what I've been taught by the likes of Beetle, Paul and John so if I've got it wrong I'm sure they will descend on me like a pack of furies and tear me an extra arsehole!

  3. Not one of the first 300. But I think they only made another 300 not numbered. Still fairly rare. I haven't seen another on the road since I bought the one I have, and It's also not numbered.

  5. With the spring Kentucky SpineRaid a week out, I reckon it is time to refocus on the matter at hand . . . My latest TPS setting(s) remind me of a girl I dated in college - like, I was never sure where she was going to be (all over the place). Pretty sure mySport is rideable, but what a mess fighting the TPS. Second try at replacement brakepads are scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I'm 230 miles into a 400 mile Waddington Window and running out of time trying not to be The TechSession. More SpineRaid swag . . .

  7. I should clarify that I'm not feelin' fotoguzzi's love for the bike. I so agree with this. Others have pointed out that, as the world's premier V11 Sport/LeMans community, we consistently undervalue examples that come up. I really enjoy looking over listings for what is changed, what accessories are offered, common issues, and try to share what knowledge we have accumulated about these rather rare (and soon-to-be-vintage) motorcycles.

  8. ...looks like a nice bike to me. I don't think nice Spineys are getting any cheaper. I don't see the point of criticizing our own family of bikes. I think this one might need a bellhousing support? Condition means a lot. If you want it, where ya gonna find another?

  9. There were reports of early filters coming loose with catastrophic outcomes. This could have been some faulty UFI gaskets, perhaps improper installation (the old "hand tight" oil filter DOES NOT apply to the V11). Some owners decided to add the hose clamp as a stop to prevent the filter loosening. Obviously, the sump then has to be removed to change the filter. Others of us followed some sage advice from testing carried out by member Ryland3210 and turn the filter one-and-one-eighth turns past gasket contact. Lots of us quit using UFI filters, as well . . Changing oil on a V11 I did not know, the owner marveled that I used a flashlight and a dental mirror to inspect for the possibility of a clamp on the filter . . .

  10. Strange... My experience, insofar, is individuals stopping their truck and parking to admire the gem and speaking to the owner. Rolling down the window to tell me they love the bike. Youngsters with pilioned girl friend on a 300 cc bike crossing roads and railways to talk to me. What I am missing are the 30 years old ladies getting an interest.... YET!

  11. I think the black Sport is almost as rare.. remember John Fish sold his after being on the market for a long time.. for $3000. Similar mileage I think.. Black at least as fetching as the roso ..

  16. One caliper was fine, the other had a seized cup. Right finished, new seals and SBS pads.

  17. I had a Yamaha FJR 1300 before the Road Glide…I do miss it sometimes but the Harley has been a surprisingly fun bike. We’ll never sell the Guzzi though…they are special bikes. Would love to add a Lemans one day.

  18. I can't load that photo and see what it looks like, but I did see the price. YIKES! As a result of research on this forum, I just recently picked up a small, sleek, 12 L Cor-Tech tank bag at less than 1/4 the cost for my V11.
