Yes, I am familier with the puzzlement. Apparently there are women in the USA whose first name is Taylor. Where I come from, that is exclusively a surname. I believe I have also heard of women called Kennedy. That is a surname. Mine, for instance. Still, not quite as "exotic" as Moon Unit or Dweezil.

I can't help with the problem but, a photo of the Three Tenni's together would be fun. I've wondered how similar the greens are.

I understand. I forgot to ask you if you were a native English or German native speaker. I am a French native speaker. Born and raised in Paris. When I started to work internationally, my French was the typical Parisian accented one. When I listen to me speaking anything, I hear my French accent. Each time I return to France, I have some people asking me how come I know French so well. I surprise them when I tell I am French, born and raised. Somehow, over the years of expatriation, the lack of speaking French, I am guessing my accent is no longer current; this is most likely why French people that don't know better think I am Canadian. They have clearly never heard a French speaking Canadian. Another dead give away is my first name. From the 50's. Also, I am using expressions which are no longer used today. When you don't live in the country, you don't stay current. Typical. The first names are usually a good indication of the age of a person.

Has to be sanctioned by Guzzi though surely. With all the "Guzzi" mentions and the fact their lawyers try shutting down anyone that uses the name and logo unless it's them or sanctioned by them then the factory must have some involvement.

Just thought I would fire that out there.............. I would have thought the new Stelvio buyer on this forum would have had a good possibility of having owned the final generation old style is all. Either way its not my first rodeo with these gems and realize it takes more ...much more than a test ride to get a feeling of a new machine.Im thinking out loud that the power to weight may be felt right off the bat but I remember once riding with a guy with a very nice Ducati L twin making I believe around 160 hp with an overall weight much less that my Stelvio. I was unpleasantly surprised how un awesome that package was by comparison to mine and subsequently ended up ordering another new 2017 Stelvio due to that experience. And yes I know we are creatures of habit and find comfort in things we are familiar with but part of the enjoyment of this hobby/sport is to always try and keep an open mind for a machine that might truly suite you/me better. So here's to not spending to much time evaluating these machines through the so called internet articles................. right. realistically you pretty much have to own and live with them for a while. I don't think they do. I've just spent an hour or so with a printed copy of the wiring diagram and coloured pens, and it looks like both high beam and low beam get their power, switched either-or at the switch block on the handlebar, from the lighting relay. The lighting relay feeds through power from the battery, and is itself switched from the normally closed contact of the relay that switches the starter motor with its normally open contact. The running lights (parking lights) get their power directly from the ignition switch, in common, but via a seperate fuse, with the blinkers, i.e. from a different source as the headlight itself. That may be the source of your memory.

Even how the luggage is loaded, affecting the weight distribution, can cause or solve wobbles. I have seen HD touring bikes being ridden better then guys on sportbikes. Seeing a guy on a bagger hustle it around a BattleTrax course is a sight to behold. A big Harley or similar bike does have less capability then the average sportbike, but most motorcycles being ridden on the street aren't being ridden at a level that is anywhere near the actual limits of the bike. So it is possible that a guy on a Harley may be going faster then a guy on a sportbike. I owned a cruiser for a year or so, not the average cruiser, but by my standards it was a cruiser. I found that it handled really well, the weight was more than I would want but it carried it pretty low. So it hid its weight. It would corner fine, but the scary thing was how quickly I would run out of cornering clearance and start dragging things. I was always worried I would simply not have enough cornering clearance to make a corner at the speed I went into the corner at. In the end, I was happy to see it go, and I rarely sell motorcycles.
