  1. Also, note that the current "AMA Life Member Plus" card no longer has the roadside assistance phone number on the back. When I called to ask why, the rep said that they were considering changing their service provider. Regarding HD roadside assistance an anecdote: I lowsided a Pan Am in MN, broke my leg, and knew that HOG would haul it to the nearest HD dealer. I was close to Grand Forks, ND and knew that a dealer was there from travels years ago. Googled them to see it they were open (it was a Sunday)...and found out they were permanently closed. Knew the bike would now have to wind up in Fargo. Called for roadside assistance and it went something like this: "Need a tow from E. Grand Forks, MN" "No problem, we'll haul it to the dealer in Grand Forks, ND" "They're closed." "Well.....it is Sunday, after all...." "Nooo....out of business type closed!!!" "One moment......(off-line supervisor consultation).....we'll haul it to Fargo." This pretty much foretold the luck I had for the other steps getting the bike back to MO.
  2. Glad that you avoided that switch $!
  3. My switch reliably functioned when removed, powered, and plunger-fingered. I was surprised by how little the plunger needed to move before opening the circuit, though. Just about one step beyond "looking at it the wrong way" for it to change state.
  4. As it did me during my recent switch endeavors...
  5. Had the bike on the lift replacing the plugs and doing the valves, decided to investigate why the neutral light was deciding to illuminate when it damn well pleased in neutral. Ultimately, added a M8x12mmx1mm crush washer and with ~20 N-m of torque found the sweet spot statically. Picked 12mm since it seemed to correspond with the boss on the neutral switch doing the crushing.
  6. ...resulting in the 2000 mile "Usage" at the top.
  7. Gold medal for obfuscating the mileage.
  8. On the plus side, the number of women spreading their arms...and legs...in order to be in 4 states at once was...entertaining.
  9. Four Corners can't hold a candle to Monument Valley!
  10. No OTR truck drivers in this bunch.....
  11. FIFY Details: Rally fee $35, includes Saturday evening meal and camping. A room at the lodge..... can be had with..errr....obtained via... Dave...620-249-9362...call/text work equally well. Bring something for the Saturday evening auction
  12. Hope I don't have to help install the window A/C's this year....
