  1. I couldn’t help noticing that warning from Euromotoelectrics against the use of that particular regulator with Odyssey batteries.. as well as lithium iron batteries. A lot of us run Odyssey’s in our bikes, any thoughts from those with experience running both in conjunction?
  2. FWIW, I found this distributor in the UK with fair pricing & shipping to US. https://www.diycarserviceparts.co.uk/intermotor-crank-sensor-18783.html
  3. Try tapping and holding on the picture, it should bring up a sub menu with a copy option.
  4. Looks like you’re all set for an epic adventure... Have fun, ride safe!! Gorgeous bike btw
  5. This is really a sad day, the tragic loss of the owner/founder of the Ghetto first and foremost but also the prospect of losing the invaluable trove of technical knowledge and information assembled there over all these years. I’ve been a member there since 2017 after I got my first Guzzi, a Griso and although I rarely posted, being new to the marque and to forums in general, I got to learn so much just reading from all the knowledgeable folks there. It inspired me and gave me confidence to perform all maintenance on my bike and I was always able to find answers to my questions with a simple search through the forum. I really hope someone will be able to pick-up the baton and preserve the forum for Steve/‘Steak’ legacy and the future of the Griso community.
  6. Saw this one on eBay, not cheap and showing a few scars but looks structurally sound.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/384510691071?hash=item59869f86ff:g:02MAAOSwD4BhmKCF&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA8HuTxwnzluWSj9Zt1B5fM2%2BdNblehEreT5tJIWwDy0OKe3FTBCuDb48yRFsXf1TDJx8%2FQ%2BzZsgmhaXQeVInAGlbfgvp5xyWiA2N%2Bjuxl0AscMwTVBFRLnsE3JMJS9DCz8vdd3wG%2B4g4VcjcLaFNGLacpYZPI4qefaACEbg33YmInKfxmYUEFnpPVmDQdlRMOqBco2sxeKmK3ZjAwNgvCFBoDsNNQyI9%2B4V2FDOqsQVHQ09kxn%2Bqgg2Ge82cAdj76VrXbXejuCJGRbdPlwFbPEm9isAM%2BTyTXsit0Wr%2B4DGHTKL%2BZPEoNe3%2FGe7JGmH36Ww%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_aQ673iYA
  7. I’ll trust you on that, it’s all bloody English to me...
  8. we need the popcorn emoji... One too many “L” btw...
  9. Thank you Roper-san for the seal of approval.. everybody sees the light now... Actually this has been known for quite sometime now, first on WG, courtesy of Mr. Pete Roper again: https://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=78120.0 on which thread I believe you participated. Also discussed here more recently: https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?/topic/20295-valpollini-rocker-cover-gaskets/page/2/#comment-269462
  10. The general consensus on this and other MG boards has been that these are the best valve cover gaskets available for your V11 ➔ Valpolini. Here: https://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=4634:18fc72d8b8aba03a4d84f66efabce82e Or for any other square head 2V big blocks for that matter..
  11. When I was a kid growing up in a small town, I remember my parents spinning stories among friends and neighbors about that one butcher and how it should be avoided to buy sausages from him. It was said that his sausages were filled, among other things, with wood chips scraped from the chopping block... and anybody that’s been in an old butcher shop has seen that massive worn out chopping block and how much wood is missing from this thing.. (the psychology factor..) I don’t know how much of that stemmed from local lore or misguided bias toward that particular butcher shop but it sure made a lasting impression on little me. I try not to think about it when I’m at the grill with a stack of wieners.. Grill’ em until crisp and enjoy with your favorite topping and please, please put away that pocky digital temperature thingy you just wielded out of your pocket. Intermezzo finito, I’ll go back to my corner now..
  12. Very familiar That Scura was sold by @KINDOY2 only two or three months ago... Beautiful specimen!
  13. Are you talking about the rubber boot covering the HT wire terminal at the coil? https://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=37_209&products_id=315
  14. Picker had the PC686 Micro ISO relay rated at 40A continuous..! Unfortunatly it's not in production anymore. Makes me think they know how to build a high current micro relay though..
  15. @mikev Looks like you scored on the chinadian Omrons Otoh I'm not sure how the chinese made CIT A1 relays ever got the nod.. Afaik their continuous current rating has never been published.. Only Omron, Panasonic and Picker disclose that value in their datasheets. And althought Panasonic downrates their CM1 relays switching capacity(resistive) of 35A/20A-NO/NC to 20/10-NO/NC max. continuous current, Omron high current G8HN & G8HE report equal values for resistive and continuous at 35/20-NO/NC and Picker PC782 reported max. continuous current value of 35A is given indistinctive of NO/NC. Interestingly, Picker Components is a wholly owned subsidiary of CIT Relays & Switch.. Another relay option I found interesting is the japanese made Omron G8HN high current(G8HN-1C4T-RH) used by Suzuki. @docc Very compelling information on the different relays and their various functions. It would surely come in handy while chasing electrical gremlins that can affect the V11s. It would be worth assembling into a compelling spreadsheet or pdf..
  16. That sounds like a fantastic immersive experience, well beyond your typical museum exhibit. After living for a couple of years in Paris, Monsieur Vincent had his most prolific period in Arles, a short ride from where I grew up. In a little over a year he spent there, he produced over 200 paintings and 100+ drawings depicting local life and the countryside of this area in the south of France. Beautiful country with a warm and bright southern light compelled him to work frantically and can be experienced throughout his outdoor paintings there. I should say that it’s also where he lost his mind... This beautiful countryside is littered with meandering 2 lanes roads from sea to rolling hills, linking small villages through marshes and vineyards and is best experienced on two wheels for all of its sensory palette.. That is where most of my early experience riding motorcycles took place. @LowRyterThat should tie this topic back up nicely to a more moto-centric subject...
  17. Have you inquired about pricing? Price range from $30 to $100 on that Alibaba link you provided, probably depending on amount of units ordered. MDI sells them for 70 bucks a pop right now out of SoCal with a phone # and email you can reach them at. Unless it’s significantly cheaper, I would think twice about ordering from overseas...
  18. Got a little package in the mail today... Beauties!! A million thanks to @Chuck and his S&H crew for all their hard work and @Lucky Phil for all his ingenuity..
  19. Without any intention of hijacking this thread and turning it into a relay one, I will just say that I spent a lot of time researching suitable relays alternative for the v11 and I would be wary of any relays offering on ebay coming out of China... The ebay vendor I got the Omrons from back in December is still offering them, albeit at twice the price I paid for them.. I think they've learned the value of what they're sitting on.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/162517009426 Aside from the CIT's @docc posted above, here are a few more alternatives I found: (Disclaimer: Even though I haven't tried these, all specs suggest they would be a good alternative for the V11) https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/picker-components/PC782-1C-12S-R-X/12352866 https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/panasonic-electric-works/CM1-12V/647128
  20. Just my personal observation after miss Curiosity pushed me to check that listing.. I know, I know, curiosity killed the cat
  21. I highly doubt the relays on that listing are the real thing, made in US Omrons that is. Omron label is obscured in picture and no mention of it in description either. In fact it states "unbranded" in "Item specifics"..
  22. Definitely not a frame mount front fairing. Photo #8 in the CT listing clearly shows the fork mounted headlight brackets..
