  1. I'll make sure to oil up the EVerts UNI filters and I think I'll go back to paper on my Lemans. thankyou all.
  2. In Minnesota, my insurance would go after hers and I wouldn't have to do anything. Hope for a total and a check.. then try to buy it back cheap, or call me when the insurance company wants to unload it. your insurance agent should be your friend in this case. there is a Rosso Corsa f/s out there somewhere.
  3. yes, your right hand lever only controls the right front brake. If something is on the rotor you should spray it w/brake cleaner. maybe its time to bleed the brake lines. and use both hand and foot levers. If you over heat one front rotor with a heavy right hand, it will warp.
  4. I can't explain it but it was a concern I got from Guzziology or somewhere else when i put a EV1100 motor in my Convert. Somehow I was led to believe I had to keep the 4" long tubes that go to the airbox... so i put my pod filters on them but they are taking up a lot of room i could use for the other EV stuff... right now i have to put the battery under the tranny and sacrifice the crossover, not really a problem w/a Convert since it's not running up and down the rev band.
  5. guess you scared him off, looks like he deleted his thread? I enjoy reading about other bikes once in awhile and you clearly stated that it was not about Guzzi so i did have the option not to open the thread. thanks! just for kicks, here's a little 1000S Guzzi content.
  6. I noticed in the pics of the new bike of the month that he has pod filters directly onto the throttle bodies.. wouldn't you loose considerable torq with out the intake tubes?
  7. Awesome... you can get the Harley tps FOR 32.00 FROM CHICAGOHARLEY.COM
  8. just a thought, where did the V11 pistons come from? a V11 Sport, OK... a V11 EV or other Tonti bike would be a mistake and compression would be down?
  9. I don't think the Harley TPS will work in this case.. the TPS on Cal 1100i and i think this sport 1100 are of a different size and don't fit the space in the throttle body. It does sound like your TPS is on the fritz... maybe you can pull it off and clean it?
  10. I seem to remember 30psi but not for sure.. did you set the TPS on rebuild? what sensor do you have for head temp? the sensor in the cyl head (right side) is better than the one in the valve cover, if it thinks it's colder out it might be telling the bike to run to rich? what was wrong with the original pump? I don't think the pressure regulator is adjustable
  11. don't you have to turn the power 90 degrees from the crank to the chain gear? I think you would loose about 15% of the power over a direct drive sprocket bike... about the same loss as a drive shaft set up. so I would prefer a shaft drive for all the obvious reasons.
  12. Get over your fear it's so simple a moron could set the valves. Falcolion, did you actually hear pinging? I doubt that you have any problem really... I would think you could find some Guzziophile near NYC to help you confirm and or possibly reset the TPS.
  13. LOVE IT! cheapo seat cover though.
  14. I LUST, THEREFORE I AM! one day i hope to join the registry.. the Nero Corsa is the PEAK of Moto Guzzi design chic! If i could only have one bike, GOD please send me a Nero... I'll trade my '02 LeMans and a very special '80 Convert for ONE! or will trade you 2 Converts, one has a '98 EV powerhouse w/all the operating systems and upgraded EV Brembo's, HB bags, EV seat, SP body, you know it... trade me your NerO!
  15. I have bar risers, and was thinking I could use a bar from a bicycle to mount a GPS above the speedo area. But I wonder if it should be tucked into the fairing more to be out of sunlight and easier to read?
  16. show me the web site, I can't find anything like the Combat boot there.
  17. I want these, http://www.aerostich.com/catalog/US/Aerost...ts-p-16559.html
  18. I suction cup my Nuvi to the speedo glass for now.
  19. bids are already getting too high for me... last week I missed a wrecked BMW K1200LT for 900.! the place is in my area so i can check them out in person before bidding..
  20. heres the bike in question, http://www.crashedtoys.com/index.php?fusea...p;carid=2428571
  21. Paul, I will consider yours if i win the bid on this crashed Mille and sell off the good parts. I probably can't bid high enough to win it but will try, next tuesday. do you know if the rear shock would fit a lemans? Of course I could rebuild the Aprillia also.
  22. will an Ohlins fork from a 05 Aprillia RSV Mille R fit on my 02 V11 Lemans? would i need the triple clamps too or will they slip into mine? will the Lemans wheel fit up? thanks to the experts!
