  1. I am putting new seals/bushings in the front (Marzocchi) forks. After looking at the invoice yesterday I am going to have to rob a bank first thing Monday morning.........
  2. Do you live near any members that would swap parts 'til it started correctly? p.s. Check the battery connection bolts. Mine will loosen up and give me problems...........
  3. Sit on it, ride it, if it feels good then buy it.
  4. Remind me to tell you the joke about the two Norwegians that buy a horse...............
  5. I wish these numbers would slow down, I can hardly read them.
  6. Your point being? = I am aware of this as are many others. Extremeism either way is absurd. The right uses fear and the left uses anarchy. I really thought we would have a new flag with a big red dot in the middle or one with a hammer and sickle by now. It looks like we will have one "made in China" whatever the insignia. EVERYTHING purchased in the States has one common denominator "made in China". Nat.Geo. reported the avg. factort worker in China has to work 6 mo. to be able to purchase a "Thomas the Tank Engine" toy....
  7. Your point being? Does it really matter if they were our enemies all this time? Our leaders have shown their leaders there's a more lucrative way to opress the proletariat. OR It's the new way to take over another country. You borrow all their money (because our government can't operate on a balanced budget) and file for bankruptcy. After we collapse our enemies infrastructure we will start back going into space to see if we can borrow from the E.T.s I hope there is life on other planets.

In regards to the rear brake. make sure the push rod is adjusted properly before doing anything. This will insure the m/cyl. will release pressure after releasing the pedal. To verify caliper, hose or master cylinder place the bike on a center stand.#1 press the rear brake pedal a few times to pump up the rear brake. If the rear wheel will not turn, break the bleeder screw (w/out the dust cap) loose and retighten bleeder screw.#2 If the brake stil holds then the caliper is at fault. If the wheel turns freely the problem is the brake hose or m/cylinder. #3 To test them, pump the brkes again to lock rear wheel. Then loosen the banjo bolt holding the brake hose to the m/cylinder. If the rear brake is still tight, the hose is at fault. If it (the rear brakes) losens the m/cyl. is bad.
  9. Not to be "smart" but how did you decide the rings were bad? Compression test, blow-by test, etc.?
  10. Get the Coppa...there's no dealer in 100 km. from where I live. That is NO factor in owning a GUZZI.
  11. Do both sets fit above the triple clamps?
  12. I think the frame is painted (blue) just to accent or highlight the frame's construction. You must do something controversial to cause a memorable conversation. p.s. If the Jap crotch-rocket frames were painted blue, next year ALL bikes would be the same!
  13. You are doing everything okay. Do NOT take off like Batman leaving the the Batcave. Always let the engine warm-up before riding....
  14. Only a business owner would know this......... That's why you do not stock ANYTHING people cannot buy over the internet for les than you pay your distributors for the same product. Wait until they buy from you, order it in for less money, then bring that item back in and ask for a refund.
  15. David, I envy you living in such beautiful surroundings.
  16. A MotoGuzzi is both priceless and worthless at the same time. Go figure ? The ONLY way I would sell mine was if I found another one I wanted more....
  17. I just got a SHOEI from a Victory dealer (going out of business unfortuntely)in Cape Girardeau,Mo. and saved lot$ of money. It is more comfortable than the $90.00 helmets I am used to.
  18. You can remove the switch and stick something (be creative) into the hole to prevent fluid from leaking out. Then use a electrical contact cleaner to (obviously) clean the contacts in the switch. It might take a few minutes to do this so don't expect a sudden miracle. Use an ohm-meter to test the switch verifying that it now works and reinstall it. Check the gear oil level then you're done....
  19. When you reassemble anything using needle rollers, use a liberal amount of petroleum (Vaseline) jelly. This will hold everything in place til start-up. The Vaseline will melt upon warm-up and allow the gear oil to do it's job. Using any other type of grease MIGHT have a higher melting temp. This will give you trouble if a passage stops up and stops the flow of lubrication.
