  1. I recommend K&W Coppercoat or Hylomar on gasket surfaces. I have had bad results with gaskets "moving"after applying any type of silicone on gaskets.
  2. gstallons

    I never could

BAD TO THE BONE! Were you at Sturgis on this a few years ago?
  3. I got mine from Agostini. They fit perfect,I can remove and install them easily. The instructions say to relocate the turn signals which I didn't. The price of shipping was another thing altogether. when it was all said and done, they are worth the price.
  4. Triumph Bonneville; one of the most beautiful motorcycles EVER built.
  5. Ford sells an electrical grease pt# f8az-19g208-aa that I use when installing things like relays to keep out moisture, etc. from the connection(s).
  6. What maked you decide the fuel mixture was too rich. In order to check the press.regulator you would have to plumb into the fuel line and ckeck fuel pressure at koeo and koer. Anything is possible but I doubt it is the regulator.
  7. If you see any problem at all, you can wire around the fuse (I assume this is the charging system fuse) panel and install 30a maxi-fuse in place of the standard ATO fuse.
  8. A DVOM displays volts . the Axeone or computer software on a laptop should show degrees or volts.
  9. Our prayers are with you and his family. Death and life are misunderstood events that have no good explanation. We all make (what later seem) decisions at the time of both these events. I hope everyone involved in this tragedy make good decisions.
  10. The difference is miniscule. I use Motorcraft Synthetic 75-90 gear lube.I let the old fluid drain overnight.Install drain plug (very important) and fill till it comes out middle plug.Ride it about 2 mi. and recheck level after sitting for an hour.
  11. You saw Hillary get off when an interpretor got involved. Make sure you mean what you say IF she understands Italian.
  12. Don't waste the money. No one is going to steal it because they can't sell any parts because it doesn't break! It is too exotic to ride around on because it is too noticeable. just remove the keys when you get off. Or you could get cheap and make a decal with some BadA** GPS alarm/theft deterrent system and apply it to the fuel tank! BREAK not brake!
  13. Get Greg Field's opinopn. Whatevre he says is a fair price is a fair price for both parties.
  14. What model year is the bike? 2200 mi.? Price and value is in the eye of the beholder.Buy it, you won't regret it!
  15. I would reuse a metal shim style gasket using Loc-tite 515 anaeorbic (sp) sealer or Yamabond. Any type of sealer should be used sparingly with it just oozing out of the mating surfaces when tightened.
  16. when I first saw the MGS-01 Corsa I thought it was the MOST beautiful bike EVER made. $25k, no problem. Rob a bank. Then.....fizzle. Pencil-pushers (or whom ever is leading)never listen to the peasants. How do you say "let them eat cake" in italian? p.s. you don't have to buy new.
  17. The grease fitting we all see was invented and patented by Oscar Zerk. Arthur Guldborg and his father invented the grease gun while working for for the Alemite Die Cast Co.
  18. You want to grease the fitting of the splined portion afer everything is installed.
  19. It's not the education that hurts, it's the tuition !!!!!
  20. Now go underground with your conversations.
  21. Did you try Googleing(sp) to find a distributor in N.America ? On buying from Italy: know the exchange rate on the day of purchase, the charges your credit card co. will bill you for exchanging currency, the (WOW) shipping charges and last but not least, the duties you might get billed for entering the U.S. A gift from a friend in Italy might be exempt from lots ot these $ though.
  22. Please consider going OEM. The heater hoses that people install are not compatible with petroleum products. They handle coolant only. When these are used with petroleum products they swell on the inside where the oil fumes contact the rubber.
  23. Go hang around some independent(who works on your car?) auto garage and ask if they will help. The dye is around $10.00 and you will not use 1/4 of the bottle in EITHER the crankcase or transmission.
