  1. Sorry my response didn't show up. Do you have access to dye and a light made for finding oil leaks. It takes ALL the guesswork out of play. You can put it in the engine or gearbox and run it for a few days.Check it late in the afternoon for less sunlight and best results. If it shows up leaking with no dye,you know it was the part you did not install the dye into. Hope this helps, gene
  2. You can use these push pins (used to hold body plastic parts on in the automotive industry) to fill the holes. You can get these at auto parts stores. The fender is matte black so it will hardly be seen.
  3. Unless you have a dealer who is an idiot you are not going to save anything with what you are attempting. First, you will have to purchase the AXEONE. Second ,you will have to be trained to use it. Third,do you realize how much you are going to spend to accomplish this? Why not treat your mechanic to lunch and discuss tips on calibration, adjustments, etc. Making him aware of your appreciation for him and his knowledge will get you much further than anything else. Everyone here in the States uses a PowerCommander or similar device to fine tune glitchers with their bike. if you go for this, go to a dealer that sells and services thes units. Buying something you can't work on competently is a waste of money. Hope this helps! Gene
  4. I judge a mechanic on his opinion of Slick 50.
  5. I've been told this model was built to clone the BMWs of WW11 to confuse the German troops.
  6. I got some stuff off ebay from a wrecked V11. I wil try to find his name and you can contact him.
  7. Don't get too excited yet. Ride a few hundred miles before you decide to replace the sensor.
  8. What is the part # for the throttle cam on your bike? How much?
  9. The factory settings are not the same as the elevation, air, etc. in Italy as the U.S.
  10. How much alcohol is in your fuel there? what is the elevation there and (this is redundant)how close are you to the ocean?
  11. When you go back together with this, fill the cavity with silicone grease to keep out water.
  12. Bodypaint ! The most beautiful covering ever invented.

  14. I don't know if it is the same as my 87 or not.Mine was leaking oil between the head and cylinder. The o-rings beneath the rocer arm pedestals were bad. Replacing them fixed my problem. good luck.
  15. Do you have enough balls to make a single side swingarm? I wonder if you can adapt a CARC rear end? I hope so!
  16. Good luck and keep us posted. Do the lwb bikes have the swingarm pivots rearward like you are going to do?
  17. You need to call Joe Eish in Salineville,Oh. 330-738-3944
  18. Is that a "special " 2 pc. racing piston with short skirts, low (no) tension rings and FULL floating pin ? Where do I get one?
  19. The Alpina wheels came from Rossopuro. Click on their site at the top of the page. The Alpina US website shows wheels that are anodized 1/2 and natural 1/2. They look fantastic. I don't know if they sell the wheel/hub assy. alreay laced and ready to go. I bought my wheels/tires from Diesel. His bike was voted bike of the year for 2008. There are pics of it floating around here on this site somewhere.
  20. You need to look at a v11 with different wheels and get the owner's opinion. I am running Alpina wheels on mine and LOVE them. These were purchased used and I got a good deal on them. They are available with different color schemes. The wheels that are on Dan Ms bike look VERY good. The Durrani wheels are made in Michigan , look good and VERY well priced. These wheels will transform the bike more than you can imagine. The down side is that you will want to toss the factory brake rotors for some new looks.
