  1. I have both styles and like the flip front if you are trying to talk to someone w/o removing the helmet. I know this will be the most expensive route but go try them ALL before you buy.You can save $$$ buying online but you cannot try them on. I thought I wanted an Arai until I tried it on. It just didn't fit as well as I wanted . Bought a Shoei instead . Buy what fits you and remember " how much is your head worth?" .
  2. You can Google "torque specifications for metric fasteners" for most of your needs. I would paste the link but something is keeping it from being able to paste
  3. $31.50 is better than N/A !
  4. I'm worried about your head guards !
  5. Pipe thread has a taper thread that will tighten as it is screwed into the mating part. I use "Leak-Lock" or liquid pipe sealer instead of teflon tape. The fitting you are using has too many barbs on it. There are fittings with a single barb for repeated unhooking and use a fuel injection hose clamp that will not mar the fuel line.
  6. I got mine from MotionPro........Excellent quality, It is in my Suburban and it is not here or I would go look at the part # & post it.
  7. What do the spark plugs look like ? If they are super clean , you need a larger pilot jet ..... I don't know if Kehin #s go up in size vis-a-vis #s or not ?
  8. You can $pend some money buying a puller or take it to a good m/c or auto mechanic that can remove it for you.
  9. My take on things : www.lindertech.com for injector service. They can flow-rate and recondition yours. The best in the business. You can use Techron , Sea-Foam & other good products for maintenance only I do NOT run K&N filters on anything. Good noise makers / bad for everything else. Purchase a PowerCommander from a seller/installer that can MAP your PC to your bike and region. My bike does not have the tank valve , so someone else can give advice on the subject.
  10. Stu, You could do away with the original spring and modify it where a pull type spring holds the pawl up against the drum. There is an article somewhere in here (this site) showing the mod.
  11. Everyone should make a spare and mount it in your helmet or keep it somewhere on the bike.
  12. With the front axle removed , you can remove the socket head (Allen) capscrew at the bottom of the fork to remove all of the fluid. There is a tiny set screw that holds this bolt tight , so look for it. You can extract the internals out of the fork tube and observe the fork fluid as it goes all over the shop floor! There is an index at the bottom ( double-d or hex ) to keep the internals from spinning as you tighten the bottom screw..
  13. You do know the higher the AFR = the more lean the mixture ?
  14. You understand this is going to make you a better man for figuring out someone else's mistake.
  15. That looks good !
  16. Palo Alto Speedo Service is the place. They will diagnose your unit and repair it.You can send the adapter , cable n speedo head if you want. If the bowl will not come off the instrument panel , send the whole thing.
  17. Well..............it will look like an 02 but will be registered as an 03... you will find these bikes are hard to nail down as a specific yr. model , #s produced , etc. If it feels good , buy it !
  18. The bike looks excellent. The guy on the bike looks like a serious rider, not some poseur. I would say "go for it" !
  19. I like the (looks) white face Veglia gauges . Have you tried to find them ?
  20. I thought I was alone in living around pricks that want a bargain hand delivered to them.
  21. They want what they can't have..........
  22. Are these key blanks available in the U.S. ?
  23. I just walked outside in the shop to check mine. It is a 14mm hex on the r.h. side. Maybe someone else has damaged it . Try tapping it (the tool) in to see if it goes ?

    WORTH $5500

Palo Alto Speedo Service can fix (around $300) the instruments , if you are a pretty good mechanic you can fix the fork leak . There are seals , wipers and bushins that need to be replaces. There are special fork oils for USD forks so don't use just any fluid. These are the most enjoyable motorcycles ever built. Moto Guzzi was not made for everyone , and not everyone was made for Moto Guzzi.
  25. Do the helmet lock. The tamper-proof screws aren't that bad !
