  1. I thought when you posted it that looked like a good idea..

    oil filters

Back when UFI was having all the problems, (hose clamp, anyone?) I understand some Guzzis were shipped with the Bosch 3330. At any rate, they signed off on it. I think this was about 08? Using the Google box, I find Harley doods using the 3330 and 51215 interchangeably.
  3. Those would be easy to make, and cheap.. *I don't know* if they would be better than Tom's, though. How long would they wear, forinstance..

I don't think I posted a crossover with the Wix..
  5. Dang! That's always been an issue..

It's the same filter as my 2 liter Ford Transit Connect. The Turkish version. I run the Bosch 3330 in it and big block Guzzis. Here's what cross references. Purolator PL14476 / PL14477 Mobil1 M1-102 Bosch 3330 Walmart Supertech ST4967 / 4386 AMSOil SMF 133/134/135 Baldwin B33 / B37 Fram PH4967 Hastings LF410 / LF 413 NAPA 1394 Purolator ML16822
  7. True. He was just doing you a favor..
  8. Well, *most* Guzzis are as mechanically sound as a hammer. There have been times when I was absolutely abusing the Jack All rig when climbing in the mountains with Dorcia and her stuff. Same deal beating into a big head wind wound out in third gear out West for miles and miles. I thought at the time, "Sure glad this is a Guzzi." Not many engines would put up with this kind of abuse. Didn't faze it. Not recommended for a Lario..
  9. Thanks for that. Saves thinking.. I was going to make something out of Delrin when the time came, but this is probably better.
  10. Dang! Those Greenies are pretty..
  11. That *can* happen. I'd be looking there, cleaning and testing it whether it's the problem or not. I'd just *assumed* you'd gone through the oil system..
  12. Ohh, In & Out.. make it a double double animal style. Looks like a memorable trip all right.. Congrats!
  13. I had a Stucci on the Centauro, and it fit ok, but the welds looked like they'd been done with a wire welder by one of Pete's shaved apes ..
  14. Joints should fix that soreness, all right..
  15. Scud.. you're an animal.. do you ever sleep?
  16. I've been telling you guys about UFIs.. Get yourself a Bosch 3330 or Wix or Hi Flo, or something. Maybe not a Fram.. If it's *not* the oil filter, you may need to pack the oil pump with lithium grease. That's what VW recommended on the air cooled engines to get them to prime.. Oh.. and.. Have you checked to make no sh!t sure the oil pressure sender is working?
  17. Good for you, Scud. For whatever reason, model makers at GM have a very high incidence of colon cancers. I've had many colonoscopies over the years. No *serious* polyps yet..
  18. Uhhh, yeah. MPH
  19. I quit using the hose clamps after I quit using the UFI filters. I'm convinced they had gasket manufacturing issues that caused the whole debacle. I see from this thread they have paint prep issues, too.. I've been wanting to use this emoticon..Hey UFI!
  20. Fine choice. I'm guessing Ballabio.. called a Billy Bob here. It would probably be a Nero Corsa or Billy Bob if its an 04. Well sorted from the factory.. at least as well sorted as a Guzzi gets. First, a word of warning. Guzzis are "different," if you've never ridden one. It will probably take some acclimatization before you get it. People have told me after riding away on their first Guzzi, they thought,"What have I done??" After a few hundred miles they think, "They'll pry this bike out of my cold dead hands.." Welcome to the forum.
  21. It'll be one of your most memorable trips, and after all.. if you don't remember it, was it worth doing?
  22. You're not going to do an overhaul on the side of the road with *any* factory supplied tool kit..
  23. I really don't like those UFIs..
  24. She's a beauty. The nipple is just vented to atmosphere. I *think* the grey relays are Bosch..
