  1. I bet I could take off the seat fairing and lay my 30L Kriega back there... Hmmm... Yep, that's the way I camp with the Mighty Scura. Tent, sleeping bag, etc. tied to my 3Kg Guzzi rack and rear seat.

    Nope, not capitalized.
  3. That's the stock Guzzi rack. I've used one a fair amount. Nicely made. Gave one away last year.. sorry.
  4. Oh, I'm aware it's 3D printing.. but full 3D cad is a black art. That's not an *easy* part to program.

    Wat he said..
  6. Looks suspiciously like the Scura fairing to me. I think the Kid put some kind of Givi fairing on John's Greenie..
  7. Actually, in service, rings move around. Just give it your best shot, it'll be fine.
  8. Well, I'm impressed..
  9. It just depends. If I were you, I'd let it go until 30000km if neither one leaks. They will start leaking according to how dirty you let the sliders get, roughness of the roads you ride, or possibly phases of the moon. *If* they get to 30000, just smile and overhaul them. It's easy.
  10. As Scud mentioned, the Lemans fairing is not a deal breaker. I had a Rosso and Scura at the same time, and was more comfortable with the fly screen on the Scura.

  12. The Kid has the internals from a 5 speed helical box that you could have for the price of shipping and what he has in it. (shipping cost from Australia) Probably around $150 or so plus shipping Looks useable to me.
  13. Looks like it..
  14. FTFY..
  15. I did some prep and paint on the Lario Rehab thread, pages 5 and 6 http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=58695.150
  16. Standard stuff on airplanes.
  17. The sleeve type won't work unless you have the piston off the rod.
  18. got it covered.
  19. I dunno. I've heard a breathed on Scura and Centauro at full cry a few times, and the're not to be denied, either.
  20. Me, either. Maybe that Delrin or Ceram P bushing idea I was thinking about isn't so bad after all.
  21. Well.. seeing as how you are there.. that statement has gotten a lot of people in trouble.. it only takes a few minutes to lap the valves in if necessary. Edit: I see we were typing at the same time, Phil, so let me say that if the valves aren't leaking, I wouldn't bother. You can turn them upside down, pour a little kerosene in the chamber and see if they leak.
  22. Look at the plugs. It certainly does. Too rich will wash down the cylinder walls and it won't last another 6 years. Oh, welcome to the V11 forum, btw..
  23. Scud.. you can do it either way. If you want to install the cylinder over the piston, you can slowly work it down by pushing each ring together with your fingers, or use a ring compressor like this. The trick with these is to lube everything up well, tighten the compressor just enough to make the rings flush with the piston, and give the cylinder a good smack with your rubber hammer. The idea is for all of the rigs to go into the cylinder with that one swat. Being hesitant about it will (probably) leave the oil ring still out of the cylinder. The old rule used to be if the rings came out of the cylinder, to glaze break it and install new rings. Not so much any more. I wouldn't bother at that low mileage..
  24. Congrats on dodging a boolit..
  25. I used a wire wheel on the rubber and post, applied a little super glue, then put pressure on them in a vise until the glue kicked off.
