  2. Mate If you don't buy it someone else WILL...... And yep she may give you a bit of grief initially but treat it as the Initiation! Cheers

  4. I wish... It's all set up and ready to start shortly.... Mate If I got togged up and went for a ride about now, I dare say you'd hear the commotion from Germany! Cheers and off he goes... Oh I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok... ( might pass on the pressed flowers suspenders and bra though! )
  5. It's a great day to head up there and grab a few photos too, especially as I have a 4 x day week-end...! Alas I have 5 x ton of wood to cut ( not all at once though) for the coming winter and a new oven being installed tomorrow. Bugger Guzzler
  6. Tanjil Bren Neat wee spot, we stayed in a fantastic log cabin up there for a couple of days about 7 years ago. All sealed mate, we've been here 9 years and it was sealed then. Funny we did it in a Suzuki Grand Vitara too! Cheers Ps the Vic Guzzi club get up there a bit but I've not ridden it myself.Ride up to Noojee a bit though.
  7. Ha ha Nah all ridgey didge Doc....! Audiomick even knows and has been on these tongue twisters..... And they are just as twisty eh! Cheers Guzzler
  8. Ha ha Happily married mate, but she doesn't share my love of motorcycles nor will she ride pillion. So I get away with a tankbag and a wee backpack. Cheers Guzzler Ps don't mind panniers on a touring bike ( but not a sport bike ) and anyone who even contemplates a trailer.... Well... buy a car !
  9. Yep. If I were able to have another bike a blue XS650D would be at the pointy end of the list....! Cheers
  10. As an analogue man in a digital world, these Timex watches appeal to me! I had one as a schoolboy and will buy another when the $20 Target one I wear on the bike and for mucking about gives up the ghost.... I have a Longines classic which I wear the rest of the time.... Cheers Guzzler
  11. Update All seems back to normal on this site again..... Cheers Guzzler
  12. G'day mate As someone who's also had a battery episode recently, hope it works out for you...
  13. G'day folk's. Well after the wee issue with the battery from not riding her for awhile I've been riding as much as I can of late.So yesterday after taking the wife shopping I thought I'd take a ride and see Dad ( about 100 kays away ).The rain front seemed to be moving through but still a bit gloomy ...ah what the hell bugger the wets! So gassed up in Warragul and came across a wee Breva 750 and a Norton Dommie ridden by Hubby( ?) on the way back to Drouin and the road to Lang Lang.So I'n not the only idiot out an about... All was well bike and me running great and enjoying the twisty bits weather even holding out! Then we get to the highway and bugger me I start missing the odd gear change, hitting every pothole and bump in the road and feeling generally beaten up! Has the front end developed a slight wobble? Do I need to rethink my suspension settings ( just as I thought I had them sorted ) and of course as we're down by the coast now it's blowing a gale and the first of the showers start rolling in... Well for all of this I'm still glad I took the bike.... So after seeing Dad I fire the ole tart up and head for home and right on queue the rain starts again... Van Morrison's song or line DAYS LIKE THIS pops into my head as I head up the street. Well a few kays further and the rain clears there are no mystery wobbles in the front end and the suspension is fine still.I stop at the clowns arches for a bite before hitting the good bits home. It took care of the pangs of hunger as not eaten yet and it's 1.30pm. My patience was rewarded with a clear run through the fun bits home and we nailed it.. ha ha everything went just so and what a ride! Even the weather held out and temps in double digits now too ( just ). Ahhh home, shower and propped up in front of the fire with the wife and only a couple of hours to wine o'clock..... So what was looking like one of those days turned out to be a bit of a ripper..... Cheers Guzzler
  14. Mate I'd love a set of these on my bike too.... They really just complete the V11 I reckon, but hate to think what the cost would be here in Oz.... If ever the lotto ticket comes good I'm in! Cheers
  15. Pretty sure the engine and state of tune are the same, but The GB has much better bodywork! Makes it look more like something out of the ole dart rather than Japan.
  16. Yep, I reckon these are great bikes! Honda did this really really well and so much better than the standard XBR 500! As a fan of big singles I'd love one as the backroads round here do resemble English lanes in parts. Then again an Enfield bullet might be better to potter about on them and a damn site cheaper too? Cheers Guzzler
  17. Ha ha Indeed mate. Any thoughts of romance were not entertained for some time after this wee escapade....! Yep it was a BUGGER of a place to run dry! Cheers
  18. Thanks Doc I hope to NEVER have to resort to this....! Cheers
  19. I also find that mine will glow ever so faintly to start then go off and fade in and out till it finally stays on... At 250 kays she starts winking at me and I start looking for a gas station! I go off the odometer and know when I'll need gas anyways so no big deal. Cheers Ps I ran out outa gas ONCE many moons ago! The GPZ 900 spluttered just as I got onto the Kew Bvd ( only a few kays from Girlfriends house ) .No dramas thinks I as I reach for the tap to switch to reserve, but then blood runs cold as I realise I'd been on reserve already for some time.... Girlfriend ( on the back ) not impressed as we're completely out of gas! I wouldn't leave the bike so no choice but to push. Now the Kew Bvd is up and down and the GPZ was about same weight as our V11's so this is an exercise I have never forgotten these some 36 or so years later!! ( I was a hell of a lot fitter and stronger in those days ) This wee escapade started about 9.30pm and ended when we got to her place about 2am and collapsed into bed. Just for some salt in the wound after getting gas the next day and re-filling, the bike wouldn't have a bar of starting. After some time I checked fuses and sure enough she'd blown one and fired into life after replacing it! Needless to say, I pay particular attention to how much fuel I have in the tank these days....!
  20. G'day mate Mine comes on at about 250 kays.... This is a 2001 V11 Sport and can only seem to squeeze about 17 litres in the tank. Not pushed it ( range wise ) with the low fuel light on since new map but think I got at least 20kays with it on before filling just after re-map. Cheers Guzzler

It certainly does! I'm surprised at just how good the V11 looks in many different colours... Cheers
  22. This looks even better right way up....! Cheers Guzzler
