I do like that shade of Green...! Cheers Guzzler
  2. G'day fella's Yeah it started with me about 10 or so years ago in my hands... I couldn't open a twist top bottle because of the pain in my hands! Then I remembered Mum going on about cod liver oil and having to take it daily when she was a girl so thought I'd give it a go.Not the most pleasant thing but thought gotta be a better way so started taking fish tablets 1000g x 4 daily. This really works for me maybe because I got onto it straight away? I have forgotten to take them on the odd occasion and within days the pain returns.... so now I don't forget! I have noticed a few more aches and pains of late and had a touch of it in my toes and feet/ankles as well. At one stage I could hardly walk (left ankle) and thought maybe it was Gout but turned out it wasn't thankfully. I read somewhere that Vitamin C is a good anti-inflammatory as well and have taken to adding the juice of half a lemon to my bottle of water lately and this seems to be quite good too.So far these wee remedies work for me and I'm hoping they continue to do so and I don't have to start taking meds for it! I know others who have to as these natural remedies don't work for them and thank my lucky stars they do for me. This gettin old caper's not funny at times eh. Cheers Guzzler
  3. Or maybe one in White...? I reckon it's one of the better looking options. Cheers Ps Bill, it'd be quite the talking point at the next Moto Grappa and of course we fellow reprobates would be keen to hear what you think of it...

G'day folk's Well she fired right up and we danced our way into work on Thursday morning! And home through the fun twisty bits on the way home too. No issues whatsoever and back to her normal self-Yay! I did try the shorter warm up both am and pm and yeah no dramas either.I don't think she'd be happy to fire up and ride straight away though but I'm gunna stick with this 1 to 2 minute warm up for a bit. Cheers Ps My issue with cold weather riding is my hands! My gloves are good down to 5 deg's just, but under that and it gets painful real quick... My commute when I do it is 75 kays ( one way ) and 80% highway so plenty of time for it to be an issue.I can put thermals on and my body is good but I did get caught at -3 once and hands were agony and body was feeling it too.I also think I had the start of hyperthermia when I got in and it took till nearly 11am to come good! Too old for that crap now and had enough of it as a kid on dirt bikes back in NZ in winter. Plus don't wanna know about Black Ice any more, something else best left to youth and stupidity!

Thanks mate I'll experiment with this and see how it goes. I've a feeling she'll still want a good warm up when it's 5C ish though. My greenie sounds a wee bit like your V35 in letting me know when she's ready to boogie ha ha. But I've got a much better map in her now though so we'll see. Cheers Ps I've called it quits on riding under 5 C unless caught out and then bloody hell I can feel every degree under that...!

G'day fellas Yeah, the 3 minute warm up may be a hangover from the previous mapping? She'd splutter a bit and didn't want to accept much throttle unless warmed up just so, but still reckon she likes a decent warm up all the same. Cheers Guzzler Ps I still give her about 20kays before any serious throttle but might just try less warming up before moving off and see how that goes...

G'day folk's Scuroo, I reckon you're right there mate with the battery being weak and just had enough to fire her up and run for a wee bit. Add in I always warm her up for 3 or so minutes before I ride off too, so add this time running under 3 k and battery not charging plus we have headlights wired on always here and there's another drain! The freeway is only about 1 maybe 2 kays from my driveway and this was when she died when I tried to accelerate on to it. I'm going to ride her a fair bit over the next week and get a decent charge into the battery again as don't have a trickle charger. Never needed one as I do ride year round. It's never been an issue before in that before Covid I'd always take the bike into the office once a week rain hail or shine but since working from home last 3 years I've missed that and then you get caught up with other things in life and bingo there goes six bloody weeks! Long story short she won't ever sit idle like that again! Cheers Guzzler

Ha ha Yep, she sure as hell let me know she wasn't impressed eh! Think I'm forgiven though as she was brilliant on Saturday! And I have promised not to leave her be for so long again... Cheers Ps in fact we're going dancing again on Thursday!!

Cheers mate. You must be hanging out to put some kays on yours.... Hang in there mate as they're a great ride and you'll love it! Cheers Guzzler Ps as you know we are lucky to be able to ride year round here, just gotta ensure things other than the weather don't get in the way from now on!

G'day folk's Well life has conspired to keep me off the green one for the last 6 bloody weeks.....Argghhh! Finally, an opportunity arose to get a ride in turned up when asked to help out at our Dandenong branch last week.So not only did I eagerly volunteer, I didn't give a flying fornication what the weather was going to do or even if it snowed on Friday.... I'm taking the bike! So up a wee bit earlier in case of trouble starting her,I'm togged up and ready to go at 5 am. Ha ha no sign of any snow and a nice cool morning! Hit the starter and bingo she fires right up! I expected some bother after 6 weeks but warmed her up well as I normally do and pulled out the driveway and through town to the Freeway on ramp.Just as I feed in the power to get up to speed, she just loses all power and dies! So Brrrr Brrrrr over to the side of the road and what the....I turn everything off and try to re-start but all I get is d,d d, d,d d, d,d,d and no go! Weird and just as I'm about to get off and call the wife I thought I'd flick the kill switch a couple of times and try again.BINGO she fires up! Great so off to the servo for gas and she won't fire up again! Another flick of the kill switch and she fires up...Phew! I decide I'll keep going but she's running ok but just not quite right. Can't put my finger on it but give her a bit of the ole Italian tune up a few times when I'm certain Mr Plod's not looking and by about 50 or so Kay's she's coming good! By the time I get off the freeway at the other end she's back to her old self again! She stalled when warming up after work but quickly back to normal and I had a so so ride home. It was only due to traffic on a Friday arvo of a long weekend but I did enjoy a few brief clear patches. After that wee taste I decided I'd take the bike again Saturday to see Dad after we'd done the weekly shopping. She fired up ok but I think she took a little bit longer to warm up and idle ?? Not sure but she was all good on leaving the servo again. Now about this time the cloudy overcast morning gives way to a bright and sunny clear 20 degree wind free day and I hit the brilliant twisty bits between Drouin and Lang Lang! Both of us ( me and the bike ) are running well and we have the road to ourselves....! It was just one of those rides where everything goes just right and made even more enjoyable as it'd been too long ! I was babbling away about it for ages when I got to Dad's but my brother's an ex- rider and knew what I was on about! I could see the wistful look in his eyes and left the subject alone from there. Twas a great catch up but more of the same lay ahead on the way home again.I didn't quite have the road to myself this time round but we still had a bloody great ride home. I'm sure as hell not leaving her sitting idle for six weeks again! ( touch wood ). Cheers Guzzler
  11. Ha ha Griso as Mutant....! I get it and don't think I'll look at one the same again now... Cheers
  12. Thanks Bill What a hoot! Everyone looked to be well fed and watered! Cheers Guzzler
  13. Take and post plenty of photo's fella's... Love seeing these Guzzi get togethers eh! Cheers Ps just enjoyed Bill's Moto Grappa shin dig....Brilliant
  14. Ha ha Weegie, you're right about the grog in Scandinavia though... I seem to recall 5 pound pints when they were 85 pence in the UK! Needless to say didn't drink much there! But I do recall bumping into a group of mad Swedes travelling through Norway somewhere north of Oslo and their WICKED moonshine... They also couldn't afford to drink so brought their own with them and invited me and my mate to have a drink with them! Heh he wicked shit that was....! Cheers Guzzler
  15. Been to both and have to say... They both have stunning scenery! Cheers Guzzler
  16. My greenie loves the cool air as well... Let her rip and enjoy mate!
  17. Ha ha Mate it's not far off your temps here at times... We seem to get a day or so of heat then it's back to winter for a day or two and repeat! Been a CRAZY summer. Cheers
  18. Thanks Doc I also figured out how to stop the notifications too... Phew it was weird as after the anti-virus note my own flagged up for renewal which I did, then realised it was actually current! Thought I'd been hacked there for a bit.... Guzzler
  19. G'day folk's Anyone else on this forum on the Ghetto as well? I went in this morning and got ... This domain has expired pending renewal or deletion... Then I've been getting notifications every few minutes about... System under threat? Free anti-virus set up blah blah Anyone else getting this and if so how do you stop it? Cheers Guzzler
  20. I just had a bloke in England post me a USB stick to upgrade my surround sound system. That's UK to Australia though not the USA. It took 3 weeks to the day to get here but from what I hear about the Royal Mail lately that's not too bad. I was expecting it to take longer! Cheers Guzzler
  21. Cobram ,that's not a bad spot either mate... You're right about Gippy being green. We find it stays green much longer than any other spot in Victoria. Ha ha due to the amount of rain as mentioned! After 30 years in Melbourne we couldn't wait to get outa the rat race and Gippy always had a pull. We're an hour from the snow an hour from the beach and an hour to the city. The only reason we go in there is to see the kids and grandkids and the odd time I have to go to the office in Dandenong Sth. Love it here. Cheers
  22. I also think it looks better without the red valve covers! Much better in black! Good looking bike Cheers
  23. Ha ha Yeah mate love it here not going anywhere else... Cheers
