  1. you're going to use that cam as is? or get it reconditioned?
  2. The issue isn't finding oil. .... It's finding away to get the oil into the engine.
  3. I think the Castrol blend at Cycle Gear is the way to go. It's SG and decent cost. Maybe I should go for the cheaper SG mineral Castrol motorcycle oil (** Guzzi Content**)? Beware of the Vtwin and other fully synth Castrol. It ain't SG.
  4. oddly enough Castrol V Twin oil http://www.castrol.com/en_us/united-states/motorcycle-oil/4-stroke-engine-oil/power-rs-v-twin-4t.html SPECIFICATIONS API SERVICE: Exceeds API SL looking through the Castrol Motorcycle oils, the full synth is SL. The conventional and synth blend is SG. I wonder if I would be just as well of with the conventional oil vs the blend? And am glad I don't use the full synth for that matter.
  5. http://www.castrol.com/en_us/united-states/motorcycle-oil/4-stroke-engine-oil/act-evo-x-tra-4t.html Catrol Activo Synth Blend Motorcycle oil SPECIFICATIONS API SERVICE: Exceeds API SG JASO (T903): JASO MA-2
  6. use the smaller size tire. The rim isn't wide enough to make use of the bigger tire. The smaller tire gives sharper handling. listen to your tire guy
  7. what kind of tape is that? I might need it someday. From I have learned, that might be the only sure fire way to fix that crossover without buying new headers (with no crossover).
  8. any oil rated SG should have enough ZDDP to be safe in your Guzzi. I use the cheaper Castrol 20-50 Actevo motorcycle synth blend, that's about $30 a jug at Cycle Gear. it's SG rated and has the ZDDP.
  9. great video.....content: blue mustang and Kristan Stewrt........ \\
  10. this is really raunchy blues.... these guys can still rock Blue and Lonesome
  11. the simple thing is to loosen the switch and slide it until the brake light functions properly. Then tighten it up when it's in place. Don't take it apart. Don't unplug the switch. Don't take the nuts completely off. Don't drop the ball bearing. I won't tell you how I know what not to do. I won't tell you how I know that you can find that dang ball bearing at Ace Hardware.
  12. you can get one at Ace Hardware. If you aren't certain get a couple of different sizes.
  13. http://www.epmperf.com/streetbox.html get the shock and fork springs all in a box.

    M4 mufflers

Unless the pipes are of an unusual diameter, I'd think there would be a generic slip on and clamp mount that would work.
  15. http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=87310.0 pretty tough. Especially for Mrs. Don't know them personally but they have many friends and reputation among the Guzzsitti.

aren't the slipons pretty much generic? I'd measure the pipe size and call them. And then get a universal mount.
  17. I am running Dunlop Sportmax RoadSmarts and like the way the handle. I've run Quals before and can't tell much difference. The Sport always seems to handle well.

  19. I know a fellow in Tyler Texas with one and he keeps his Suzuki Bandit mounted on it much of the time he doesn't ride it. He does a lot of work on his and his friends' motorcycles. Also, I can't recall who all has posted the info but I've read from several folks that are satisfied with them on various motorcycle internet boards. . Chuck from Indiana has a stand but I don't know if it's from Harbor Freight.

  22. I just put a Wix in the Greenie. OReiily's even had Moto Guzzi in the cross ref on their computer.
  23. I think MG wanted $3 for the gasket but couldn't take an order for less that $10. So I get a gasket for Harper's and the cost is $20. Brilliant! And the nutty thing is that I should've ordered more gaskets, molly and the like for future maintenance for both bikes. But I was in a hurry and didn't ask for the cost nor think about what I might need next time
