Thanks Marty. I asked and you told us. I can deal with a little buzz. The LED headlight on my Bandit buzzes too. Tonight when I took the photos I thought the dang fuel pump was running continuously. I had to turn the ignition switch on twice to hear BOTH buzzes (fuel pump & LED) to be sure.

R3, there's no motorcycle that looks as good as Greenie. It's just a scientific fact.

Pictures! It crossed my mind when I posted it but I thought, screw it. BTW- those little LEDs love to buzz like a bee from Mars. Why do they need fans when they run cooler and draw less current?

I agree with Scud. I really don't know how you can turn a bicycle, motorcycle or scooter, unless you are steering it (or counter steering it). The scooter might've been going slow but the rider must've still turned it. Counter steering (aka "steering:") it's a pretty natural concept that somehow got intellectualized to the point of confusion. Any 5 year old on 16" bicycle is counter steering with no video or diagrams. Push right on the bars and go right...... I'll bet going left isn't hard either. I don't think the video makes a point other than the an inexperienced rider bobbled and lost control at the wrong time.

Got the LED H4 replacement installed today. Sorry, but I hedged and bought only one just in case it didn't fit the EV. It did fit the Sport, no problem. So tonight I lined the EV with a 55wt H4 and the Sport with the LED and shined them on the garage wall. No contest. Much brighter, much whiter. I think the LED only draws 40 wt. Looks stock with the factory reflector and lens. Going to order one for the EV. Thanks Docc.

I saw Baldry at the end of my senior year of high school, May 1972. He was opening for Nazareth and Deep Purple. Purple had just released Machine Head, "Space Truckin'" and "Smoke of the Water". Nazareth did "Love Hurts". JB did "Don't Lay No Budgy Wudjy on the King Of Rock n Roll". He played the hell out that piano from blues style to spacey. I think JB replaced Edgar Winter's White Trash at that show because they were jumped on the road a few days earlier, IIRC.

Counter-steering on a motorcycle is called steering. Brilliant.

Just completed servicing fluids on the Greenie. First drain since the transmission rebuild. The mechanic told me he used some expensive lube. Don't know what it was but it came out black and gooey. Looked liked it came out of the read end, so perhaps it had moly in it, or maybe it was slag from the repair? Filled it with the pink stuff, seemed to shift noticeably smoother. Did the normal service, valve adjustment, fluids, oil filter, gaskets, cleaned the air filter, and installed Scud's fuel hose. Next will try the LED headlight bulb. Great riding weather, almost got 70 today. It was 7 Tuesday morning.

have to agree that the bike was upset ....the bars were weaving right to left. Might've been the brake, might've hit a bump in the road. It didn't look like he was leaned over too far in corner either.

I don't know to list this under "Rallys and Places" or "What to Listen to". The Dead & Co will end their summer tour in Boulder Co on 13-14 July. And "Seth's Rally", (Colorado BMW) Top O The Rockies, is the following weekend in Paonia Co. These are the same guys that put on the Guzzi National in Colorado a few years ago. So I am planning to do both for my summer trip to the mountains.

So should we buy this stuff now while we can or just wait for you and Chuck to reverse engineer and redesign this stuff?

Had an ABATE guy show up at the local riders' monthly dinner. I asked him about "lane splitting" and he didn't even know what it was. Sad deal: he was obviously a Harley guy and had been given a basket case Guzzi Convert he needed parts for so he could sell it. I told him to look up "Harper's" on the net. (He was trying to pawn off the Convert on anyone at the dinner.) He showed up a year later and we had the same conversation, "What is lane splitting?" and "Where can I find Guzzi parts?"

oh well, it's just a motorcycle.

Handling on a V11 is a lot like horsepower, it has more of both than I have nerve.

So, this unit came today. Twelve days (including two weekends and a US holiday) from China. The unit was packaged very well and looks to be very high quality. The driver is integrated with the plug, so it is indeed a plug in unit. Just a matter of grooming the wiring and small driver in the bucket. There is ~10-11 mm (3/8") behind the fan outlet/ heat sink housing. I'm pleased with that (so far!) Mine just came in the mail today. I'll install it when the weather warms up and be sure to be careful to re aim it.

Chuck, I learned that the discount is for anyone on a motorcycle that stays for more than two nights. *****I guess that we aren't so special***** (I understand that you did get a 15% discount.) Of course I did not block a group of rooms because I had no idea the number of folks coming. Thanks for bringing this up. Let me advise: 1. Ask for 15% discount for the room rate if you're bringing a motorcycle. 2. If there's any confusion, ask for Sandy. Since many of you have not met me, the terms "organization" and "responsibility" don't associate with me. Hope this helps.
