    Interesting. Is Valeo the mfg of starter that comes standard on our bikes?

    Could be replaced gauges. And with the '02 carryover bikes there was likely varying parts bin mix n match. Could be Staintune polished stainless cans? Prices? I'll take a shot.. Good condition... 4k is a good deal. Under 5k might be acceptable. If it's nearby and the owner seems the caring sort.

    I don't know if this is the case but it could be caused by an offset motor. My K1200 RS rear was offset 10mm ( I think) making left cornering a bit sketchier than right. Were our motors offset for the 5.5 rim? Also, if your front tire is worn you'll have less tread on the left side.

    a pic from a vendor site ****SOLD*** I'd say it has a 3-4" rise over stock. top to base is 15 1/2" has some minor scratching and fogging/haze. It ain't perfect but not too worn. 2 indoor and 2 outdoor photos I'd like $40 for it, and whatever shipping is to you. I will pack it nicely!

    there was a thread some time ago regarding those rotor buttons. oxidation can make them stuck. remedy is to make a bolt/nut set up to clamp the button, and spin it with a drill. It won't work on my '00 but will on the '02 which has through holes.
