  1. Hey man, how did you get on?
  2. Holy tits! I would not mess with that young lassie. Reckon I might order a GB ‘guard. To be honest, I’d love if it extended rearwards much further- I hate wiping down the lights and wasp-tail etc after a ride. Moan moan moany moan..... And yes, if they’re 230 good english pounds to the uk, 300 yankee units to the us sounds about right.
  3. What about a second hand v11 motor? They crop up every now and then
  4. The bracket shouldn’t break- it’s a fairly hefty chunk o metal. The sump flange however....
  5. Every time i remove the rear wheel i look at (and clean) that swinging arm I think “weird!” but then “Kinda pretty, shame it’s covered up”
  6. I’d like one too- did you get sorted? The gb ones are £230 delivered to the uk.
  7. I refitted my crash damaged mivvs t’other week, just for a quick ride likes, just to remember how they sound... Ho. Ly. Crap. So so loud. So deep and raspy and gorgeous... So unsociable... So small ear-bones-damaging... Hard and angry on the acceleration- deep, hollow poppling reverb on the overrun. Beautiful. But bad. Naughty bad. Gave me a sore face from grinnin like a loon
  8. +1 ^ When i’ve tuned/tinkered with my v11 i’ve found the air screws play a significant part in getting her running well.
  9. Raceco valve settings = 0.15 intake and 0.20 exhaust
  10. Are your connections to tye starter motor good?
  11. Gosh the iti’s seem so fragile, better off with a quality aftermarket item- there’s loads to choose from thankfully
  12. I would agree in part- i’ve put a hyperpro shock on mine, which is fine, but when i took my pal’s speed four for a spin, which is by no means a new machine, the finesse of his suspension compared to mine was most noticable.
  13. That’s interesting as the marzy front end is... adequate
  14. Yeah funnily enough i only recently saw the “torque from housing side” info and initially thought ‘Oh no! But i’ve been tightening the nut side!’ Then i realised that i’ve had that wheel off dozens of times and never had a problem. And it’s definitely easier to push down to tighten! Otherwise you’d be lifting the bike off the stand?!
  15. He’s already got 80 horses!
  16. I think that axle nut is the only nut i don’t use a torque wrench on. Probably cos my 3/8 wrench doesn’t read that high- I just do it very tight with a big-arse spanner. (Shrug emoji)
  17. Some long, looooong roads of not much... I got a touch of heat-stroke from just driving for 2 hours. If you stagger red-faced into a Walmart, go to the pharmacy and ask, in an English accent for “Paracetamol?” You’ll get nowt but strange looks. Oh they do have a massive wooden round barn. And a massive soda-pop place. Er, and a few buffalo remain.
  18. I’ve been to Oklahoma (of all places), Red rock canyon was nice enough, loved Tulsa, sadly did not get a chance to ride in the Ozarks.
  19. Oh and the comments! .... I were razzin abaht on me guzz just yesterday and she rides great! Aint no rs250 but still flicks to and fro somewhat... and pulls like a tw*t too. And ‘not pretty’?? What the splutterin sh*te is meant to be pretty then? Well done dave for chiming in matey and flying the flag... ..ooo i’m all vexed fullsore....
  20. Holy moly! And dear sweet baby jebus!! They turned a scura into that? boo hoo hoo! One of only 600..... I still have not seen a custom v11 with a pretty sub frame.
  21. Oooo. Going too fast into a corner. I’ve been there- but not had as awful an outcome as that poor chap.
  22. Looks like the sheer, explosive power of the V11 is dismantling it!
  23. Is it coughing before cutting out?
