It is an abomination and should be cast out..

:oldgit:

Haha - that, alone, should make the builders proud!  *shocking!*

And I thought I was was pushing the envelope finishing my alt cover in Zn-chromate! :o

Not a V11, but a very nice custom CARC by a builder who (like Docc) paid tribute to Carcano.

The above story says that the factory supported this effort. It's even on the Moto Guzzi corporate page.

Is it possible that we will see something along these lines to compete with R9T BMWs and Triumph Thruxtons? (If so, it probably won't have CARC rear-end.)

I've posted this one before in the dream bikes link.  I have yet to see a nicer custom guzzi than this one made by Radical Guzzi.  Maximize your browser window for the picture to not be distorted.  Not sure why that happens.

When I see those huge (Brat) front tires (bias?),  it seems to defeat the entire purpose of a performance cafe racer.

I would really like to see a 1400 built for performance rather that a pseudo version.  I guess the giveaway was the Tonti Frame which is retro cool but not cutting edge for sure.

Actually when I saw the thread title I thought it said "compromised V11's".  This makes me think I am biased on this topic, being of the opinion that it is easy to take things to far with a V11 since the orig. styling was quite good for its day.

Ummmmmm What do you mean for its day lol. I do not think anything made by Moto Guzzi today looks as good as the V11 Sport/LaMans bikes. But hey I have been told a time or two I am getting old lol.

But I have had a wild thought of a breathed on Moto Guzzi 1400 cc Engine placed in a V11 chassis. Or why not a Super Charger placed  on top of the engine between the cylinders. :) A smaller whipple design would be nice fed by a newer fuel injected throttle body or old school with a Holley 750 DP. :)
