A Parts Catalog is also beneficial, with it's "exploded" views and part numbers. If I recall correctly, @skibum69, your Sport is a "carryover" LongFrame/ short tank (chin pad) with white face Veglia instruments? In that case, be certain to source parts for the 2002 V11 variant to be compatible.

I beg to differ. Yes, the "right" gear is very, very expensive, and most people don't have it. Making the most out of what you have is, on the other hand, merely a matter of understanding what is causing the problems, and improvising. Like I said: wind protectection on the mic, and figuring out how to edit such that there is no click in the audio. What do I know about audio? Only as much as about 40 years as a sound technician teaches one. Whatever, it is great that the man makes the effort to make the videos. My motivation is more to try and give him tips to make it better than to wantonly criticise his work.

I am very fortunate to be able to go with my brother and my friends.

There is nothing wrong with the editing. You are just expressing your personal preference. And sometimes you don't have the right gear at the right time. It happens. Getting good sound at an event like that is nearly impossible for anyone but professionals and even then it would be a challenge. You should know that if you know anything about audio.

My search on here for V11 Sport shop manuals came up empty. Does anyone know if there are any available for an '03 V11 Sport naked?

Thanks for sharing the photos of your Barber's Vintage trip. I've actually been to the first 12 or so; got several of the same shots in the Museum (not of Bucees). It does inspire me to go again. I'm trying to talk my 81 years old brother into going, but health issues have delayed that trip.

Motorcycle Grand Tour of Texas, 2025 edition.

Welp, looks like no Norge. But I see that they're not criminally expensive (used anyway) so there's a year to get saddled. -
Lots of nice bikes in there, and the scale of the event is really impressing. But... tell your British mate that he should learn a bit about editing videos. The train crash edits get very annoying very quickly. Hard editing the video is "modern", and can be acceptable, but the clicks in the audio at every edit are not. Getting it right isn't hard. Fade out and in, or crossfade. Most editing programs have easy to use functions to achieve that. EDIT: and tell him to find out where the microphone on his recording device is, and stick a bit of foam rubber over the hole. Getting rid of the wind noise is not that hard either.

I think the HD will be at the next Mecum...
-
I like the GPR exhaust. I'm actually running this brand on my KLX250!
-
Very cool, good friends and good times. The scale of the event is certainly impressive. Makes me think I should drag my old '72 CB350 out of the garden shed and do "something" with it. I certainly wouldn't mind having that HD XLCR 1000 in the garage.

I'm interested. I'll PM you with a few questions.

Motorcycle Grand Tour of Texas, 2025 edition.

I'm also still waiting to see if I won the raffle...I bought 100 tickets, so hoping to have a twin...if I win it, will sell it to you very cheap! I had my Norge out yesterday for a nice 100 miler thru the forest, the bike is running phenomenally after several months of extremely detailed electrical work, fixing some corroded wires, painting some panels and general extreme cleaning with a steam cleaner from head to toe. All of that to say that I'm now getting 50 mpg, which I've never seen before on my usual run, as I'm used to getting 42 all of these years. Good karma I'm guessing! -

Agreed- the '05 BMW RT I gave away would have been awesome... but still soulless. That bike with some heart = Norge, I think. I haven't been notified that I won the raffle yet, but it's early. -

Eric…I think you would be very happy on a solid Norge for touring! Here’s mine from earlier in the year at Rusk camp ground! Hard to beat for all day comfort, great in the twisties with an upgraded suspension and high speed touring… -
Wow indeed, very impressive operation they have and some great pics. Looking forward to some video.

Oh, @Scud I'm in La Jolla. A nice meet point could be at the 15&78 and head north to Castle/Lilac/Couser and Palomar. I'm retired so weekdays are good. If you have a nice route from Carlsbad, I'm happy to try it.
-
Hi @scud, I just saw this. I ordered a plate from GP about a month ago. If it doesn't come in soon, I'll cancel and swing by. In either event, let's go for a ride soon. I have never ridden with another V11 owner. My Lemans is loving this cooler weather, has even stopped using oil! So I have rings/gaskets in reserve.

Next time I'll have a more appropriate steed...perhaps a Norge. Don't forget to upload your 'Ride Texas' mag picture as a separate stop- I hadn't seen that it's stop #0. -

Finished up yesterday with a 600 mile round trip for the last 3 stops! Hope your suggestions make it into the tour next year! -
V11 Le Mans 2003 - Champagne full fairing kit (used and damaged)
Ali Fra replied to Ali Fra's topic in Personal Ads
Hey there, I have no subframe, since I had V11 Le Mans, not Sport model. I did not need it. But if you are interested in, this is a complete, good condition fairing kit. Only one part has a damage but not crack. Just deep scratches. Let me know how can I help if you are interested in Have a nice Sunday!
