2. Well dang, all the rebuild/finished pics are buried somewhere in a hard drive that predates Google Photos. Meh. Here's how I found it.

 3. A smiling Ballabio! Not just a pretty lady, but a business lady who over the last 20 years has ridden her BMW650GS up to 13 hours a day, from 34F to 105F days. For shorter rides she used her new Ducati 800 Scrambler!

 4. I agree. I want to work *with* the tractor, not work *on* it. The older tractor will come along when it wants to. After the urgent needs of a new property are addressed and general maintenance smooooooths out a bit. Old guys and old tractors. I never imagined I'd ever come close to that, but here I am. This was like my Grand dads.

 6. This IH B-275 looks most like my old tractor, @gstallons. And I do remember the term "live PTO", @MartyNZ. Pretty sure that is contrasted with "dead man's PTO" . . .

 7. I am now the proud owner of a low-mileage, fully recall-compliant Hydro 03 EV, purchased from its original owner in Seattle. The paint and chrome are in excellent condition, but I look forward to addressing the long delayed maintenance. So far, the only physical issue is the high position of the rear brake, which requires me to rest my heel on a nub to modulate it. Being a hands-on person, I plan to change the oils, inspect the brakes, and replace the tires and battery while reacquainting myself with the older electrical and fuel injection systems. I’m also looking for a locking set of saddle bags to compliment her livery. Any info on oils and tires etc or maintenance tips will be appreciated. This Hydro 03 perfectly complements VroomHilda, my 2007 Norge. I sit in the Norge and feels like on top of the Cali so might me looking to change to another seat in the future. They are only 4 years apart the Norge and the Cali but worlds apart in totality. <br /><br /><br /><br />

 8. Actual tractors, not Guzzi motorcycles I don't have one to show but I'm looking to buy, plus I just like older tractors. I don't intend to buy one more than a few years old and will likely buy new, as it seems used is hard to find. Looking for recommendations and perspective. I recall @Bill Hagan possibly drooling over a Kubota awhile back and am curious what you ended up with? We recently moved to some small acreage and I'll be spending the rest of my life grooming it. Irony wins as our property is in the middle of the area I always loved to ride, and I'm faced with the phrase one often sees in 'bikes for sale' ads. ... "no time to ride" Long gravel drive and parking, landscaping, snow, swale maintenance and improvement, and a bush hog are my needs. Got to have a front loader. I don't need a belly mower as I have a great zero turn. Looking to see what you have, have had, or want. Even just what you think is a beauty, just for the sake of a tractor. I do love the old Fords. If I ever run out of things to do I just might get one as a project. @docc I didn't intend to put this in personal ads for sale, but I guess it's a good a place as any?? [docc edit: "moved" . . .]

 9. Save yourself a headache and just buy new master cylinders. You'll probably get both for around 200USD brand new. Phil

 10. Only saying it looked like that model. Not really sure what it was or if I have any way to find out. Likely it was simply a "275" (or similar) with no prefix. Certainly it was a product of the sixties and I am not kidding about the sorry brakes as well as the way the mower would drive the tractor, relentlessly. I clearly recall a dive down the side of a creek bank standing hard on the brake and clutch pedals, while pulling on the steering wheel to give it everything I had, and still being driven to the creek. Impressed me as bull riding, where in the bull does not give a twit about what the rider might care for. Considering a tractor for groundskeeping these days, I would be averse to "vintage" offerings, no matter how quaint, and go for modern, including rollover protection systems.

 11. I used to play on one like this at Grampa's farm. He liked Internationals and thought Deeres were too expensive.

 13. I saw that one on Cycle Trader, it's about twice as far away, a little older, and has a few more miles, but doable. Giving it a second look and it's growing on me. UhOh. I just thinned the herd from 4 bikes to 3 to open up some garage space, but wtf, 3 Guzzis and a '23 Z900RS sounds ok, and I can always put the Greenie in the living room. If it's still for sale next month on my 70th birthday, I'll tell the wife that's what I want.

 14. There is a 99 EV11 Cali with saddlebags having 40K Miles on CL for $2500 in your neck of the woods, down southern Oregon. On the MGnoc page - I was just lucky to find one much, much closer and way better bike. https://www.mgnoc.com/classifieds.html. Good luck and thanks!

 15. Thanks for the input, I may go that route after I pull the transmission and see what is going. Right now I'm getting my '84 XL350R running again so I can sell it to make a little more room in the garage.

 16. Congrats on the score, I guess I can delete that bookmark now I've been smooth talking my wife to drive me up there so I could ride that bike home if it was roadworthy for the 100 mile trip, seemed like a great price. Enjoy and post more pics.

 17. Now this is a surprise, I thought that old IH tractors, model prefix letter showed the country of origin. A for Australia, B for Britain, No letter for USA. A514 = B450 = 400 AWD6 = BWD6 = WD6 BTD6 = TD6. I didn't expect a British model to be exported into USA.

 18. First things first. Use ONLY straight gasoline . No alcohol diluted fuel . If you think it is only sweating (as Phil suspects) remove the tank and let it dry out inside of the tank. It will not hurt to do this over a couple of weeks. Me personally , I run straight gasoline in everything that is air cooled or off-road .

 19. Special day for sure and a classic pic! Not to take anything away from that...I went to the OVM show today at Oaks Park...great turnout. A guy there had a Dunstall Norton he bought when he was 17. He looked about my age, maybe older, IDK. I just turned 71. Boys and their toys...

 20. No reinforcement required if your smart enough to no sit on the bike like a muppet when it's on the side stand. Later brackets had an 8mm bolt hole instead of the 6mm hole from memory as did the sump. I don't believe Daytonas and Centies even had the lower bolt provision. They just used the upper large bolt and seemed fine. Phil

 22. We need images. Sounds like Ethanol related sweating to me. have you had the tank off the bike? have you then tried refitting the tank and if so has it swelled? Phil

 23. this '46 *orchard* model B is interesting. The more plentiful *row crop* version with the narrow front wheels is certainly striking, but wouldn't be of ideal use with my rough terrain. The Kubota L02 series is at the top of my wish list if I must buy new, or used - that be the size I *think* I need. All the experts say get more horse power than you think you need. I am not convinced yet and haven't ruled out the next size down, the LX

 24. After downsizing to 3 1/2 acres, I could no longer justify a full size tractor. "MrBill " is a single cylinder flat-head Briggs&Stratton ( 2nd motor, 2nd deck, 2nd transaxle) now in (light duty) service for his thirty-fifth (35th!) season. "Swampee ", the CubCadet, runs a 750cc Kohler air-cooled V-twin and came to me with a dubious history that may-or-may-not have involved some sort of swamp racing. Both are MTD products from Ohio, USA . . . Swampee has long served as my Hawker Odyssey test bed, running one of my PC545 out to its fifteenth year . . .

 25. I always forget this part in the manual. The pressure plate has a dot on one of the teeth, it should be in line with the TDC mark. Then the springs fit easily. Maybe you need to wiggle with your fingers to get them in the pockets.

 26. Something on the clutch and the splined inner unit (what is the proper terminology for this?). The older Tontis (and a 83 cali 2 is one of those) had larger splines that used to wear fast which resulted in poor function of the clutch. You might want to change this for the later fine spline model. The easiest way is to buy a kit with both clutch plates the steel plate in between and this fine splined unit. Something like this: https://www.stein-dinse.com/de/moto-guzzi-kupplungs-set-mit-sicherungsblech-neue/item-1-1078679.html But I am not sure uf the Stein Dinse quality is good, now a days. I needed a rubber hammer to get the unit on the gearbox axle a few months ago, and that should actually slide on without pressure. On the geerbox side you have a standard axle sealing, but behind this splined unit that goes on the gearbox axle there are two o-rings that will probably need to be replaced. For future good operation of the clutch you could use some very thick spline grease with MoS2. Staburag NBU 30.... is used for BMW, but I would say a similar spec works fine.

 27. Pretty nice looking scooter, certainly no Greenie but pretty nice. Docc, where do you find this stuff? You're a little bit Spineframe obsessed? Those cold hands still on the keyboard? Jus' sayin'.
