  1. So I broke part of the black plastic barrel of my ignition switch. Zadi pl336. Anyone know where I can find one, or other bikes so equipped? I've taken to it with dental adhesive, but I'm pessimistic. I haven't tried to put it back together yet as I'm adding more thin layers of the adhesive and letting them dry thoroughly... I guess limits need to be pushed occasionally but more often adhered to.
  2. Yesterday I did exactly what I didn't want to happen; I cracked part of the black plastic barrel of the ignition switch. 🤯 Then I started to see if I could buy a new one: not available. The hunt for a Zadi pl336 begins...
  3. Also probably removed more things than I probably needed to see the switch bolts...
  4. Started the dreaded "startus interruptus" operation. Beginning to wish that my hands were small and strong rather than larger and usually tired. Got to the ignition switch and I'm going to replace the Phillips head bolts with hex bolts. My lock body plate is missing one of the mounting bolts and I don't know how to get there yet. Didn't try to take apart the ignition switch yet......
  5. I want to do this, but my brain fades and it all becomes "qvatch". I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.
  6. This year I've been fairly responsible; since I haven't had enough time to take any longer trips I've been able to go to the boat ramps and a certain co-op and put exclusively ethanol free gasoline in my beast and add a water dispersion additive for extra mojo.
  7. Looks cool, but if it is a shop stand, wouldn't a more conventional (Beckley chock, Pitbull or other lift) be more versatile and useful? It doesn't look like it would work on uneven surfaces out of the shop, or lift the wheel high enough for wheel work. Am I missing something here?
  8. I'd really like to demo (1)Svartpilen 401,(2)Royal Enfield 350; something smaller to just putz around on that also doesn't break the bank.
  9. Straightened out some stuff in the garage, changed the oil in the R1150R, and dropped some serious coin on De-ox-it and carbon conductive assembly grease....
  10. I fell in love with the Guzzi's sound first, at the Vintage Days at Mid-Ohio. A guy with a 70s Ambassador was riding with a guy riding a Vincent Black Shadow and they shared a parking place with me at one of the hotels. They looked as relaxed as me having covered similar distances as me with my GS1100. The Guzzi guy was talking about the V11 as they were newer then. I thought to myself; someday....
  11. I'm interested in this also as I plan to replace my fuel pump and filter the next time my tank is off....
  12. My burgundy V11 sport is named "Rose" from "Cracklin' Rose" ( concert nostalgia) when she's behaving, and "Heavy Fu@%ing B!+&h" when she isn't and needs to be pushed or towed....
  13. Ohlins cruise control? Sounds a little scary...
  14. I started out with BMW motorcycles and was already comfortable with the "lateral torque twist". What really sold me on the V11 was the visceral feedback without any crazy sport bike skittishness.
  15. I always tell the insurance and licensing people the exact cc's. "Its smaller so less dangerous!"😏
  16. Would that include the little padded bit? If so that might not be too steep. I was quoted a price for a starter cover that blanked out my memory and had me thinking "bondo on the back side" repeat ad infinitum....
  17. Advertising and agendas have taken over the airwaves and streaming site algorithms try to bend your aesthetics rather than follow them. I've been getting the most pleasure from streaming concerts and albums with an ad-blocking attachment. I still break out the vinyl every now and then, but I'm usually too lazy to go that way. My ears are kinda shot, but analog still sounds more " real" to me....
  18. We need to surreptitiously slip into some tech company and get them to cobble together the Moto Guzzi V11 Hydrogen fuel cell conversion kit, but, of course still keep relays and fuses for the nostalgia....
  19. Copa into Vespa; a good transfiguration if the police are sniffing around, or maybe the Incredible Hulk getting his cool back?...🤔
  20. I kinda wish that Husqvarna was better represented in my neck of the woods; I think the 401Svartpilen (sp?) looks like a fun city scrambler....back road thrasher...something.
  21. The Honda 125 looks like a real fun piece to just put around town. Since I'm 6ft.+ and 250+- lbs, the comedy factor would also be included...
  22. I straightened out a few things in the garage, does that count? I was exhausted from a rough weekend....
