  1. This should have been a winter project . Fix ( have the case fixed ) the case and have it done right . It will be done once and for all & install the case bracket . Then enjoy the bike !

  3. My "hot stuff" is Hylomar . This was included in an upgrade for a Massy Ferguson tractor engine . I use it a lot on special occasions . It is GREAT ! I will go to Fastenal today & check out this stuff .
  4. One of my first 8 tracks was Leon Russell and the Shelter People . I was hooked . if it is irregular , it's for me !
  5. Buddy , fuel injected ANYTHING does not like sitting . Get rid of all the fuel , add a couple of gallons of non-ethanol fuel and go from there .
  6. You can't gp by model year . You have to know internal/external fuel pump , large/small diameter forks and I am leaving out plenty . I ordered a bunch of seal , bushing mess for my bike to find out it was all wrong . 2002 forks on an 03 bike . These model year designations are "for entertainment purposes only" .

  10. You can fix the manual shutoff . Someone has posted part #s for the o-rings / seals on this site to repair this problem .

  14. This "octane" is a flame retardant . Google it and read about the history , development , etc. There is more to the power in av-gas than octane . Octane is to stop pre-ignition in the combustion process . The farther "up" in the air , the leaner , the oxygen . So , this is where the octane comes into play . It stops the preignition from leaner air/fuel mixture . You can't have problems in the air
  15. I hear ya ! One wiring diagram has the terminal 30 going through F5 . The other two diagrams show terminal 30 being fed through the (switched) sidestand switch . Terminal 30 doesn't have power until the (good) sidestand switch is closed .

  17. I will have to go grab all my wiring diagrams and take a look . I put my "new" relay in series w/the starter wire . This way all the current operating the starter solenoid goes through the relay and NOT through the starrer "button" circuit . Pretty slick .
  18. The two terminals (4 or 5 total) at the relay plug in , the top one is 30 and the next one is 87 . 30 has 12v on all time . You are verifying B+ before you go anywhere .

  20. Just for kicks , look at the oriveshaft to see if it is indexed correctly
  21. Replace al the rubbers w/drilled ones . You want 100 % distribution of the rubbers . The anti-seize is good on the driveshaft splines . FoMoCo has a driveshaft spline lube too . I have some out in the shop , I would have to find it & post the part #
  22. DO USE anti-seize on this and stainless is a must !
