  2. Scud, would you know if this is about the same as 5/16 line? The reason I ask, is that I'd like to install a quick-disconnect and want to know if this will work Thanks. https://www.beemerboneyard.com/cpcqkdiscon1.html

I've got that record stashed somewhere. I know why Rick and Levon did most of the singing ....
  4. The Sport is a timeless classic and looks great in any color.

pretty dumb to show a "sport bike" with a V7 motor. I am guessing that the V85 engine might be in short supply. Still, this motorcycle company is just plain nuts. Hopefully, Guzzi will build a sporty bike and perhaps sport tourer 1400 some day. But I am 64, so I ain't a-goin' a wait on 'em.
  6. ahhh, stay away from the fancy stuff and have a Pabst. You'll love it.
  7. I've killed three of them under the valve covers on my two Guzzis. No doubt it's an installer's problems since I've killed plenty of paper valve cover gaskets too.
  8. yep, the front lever light needs to be adjusted on occasion. Just another reason I don't want to screw with the foot brake.
  9. OK Leroy. Works for me.
  10. Actually the rear brake light is of minimal importance. I mean, if you are stopping, you'll certainly use the front. I don't even want to check if my foot brake activates the brake light, just something else to get anal about. Like all I want to think about is something else on these bikes.
  11. So how is the weekend of 17 May? feedback appreciated.
  12. I see that Cycle Gear has a special on Angels. Unfortunately, standard sizes are listed, But one might ask about 170 size.
  13. The Sport is such a beast to push around, at least for 5'10" me. Handles so nice when riding it. By comparison, the EV is really easy to push around. Get well soon.
  14. TPS is $85 http://ca-cycleworks.com/ca-cycleworks-products/throttle-position-sensor/pf3c
  15. I loaded my Greenie in the trailer to go to the Okla Rally. The front must be set real soft. That bike is tied down solid.
  16. I am open for suggestions but probably the weekend after Mother's Day, 3rd weekend.(?) I know some folks would rather stay in cheaper motel with fridges. The RAT Raid was at the Quality Inn, the Sport Touring group stayed at the Hub. I personally like the classic hotel, 1929 Seville, we stayed before, downtown with a bar. Open for suggestions. BTW, the Ozark Euro Raid (formerly RAT Raid) is first weekend in June. It's a full on Euro rally now (includes Guzzi). https://www.ozarkratraid.com/
  17. I've been fiddling with the suspension on the Greenie since I got it. I had the rear shock rebuilt (clickers didn't work) and added a heavier spring. That didn't make a huge difference. What I finally figured out was the fork was too stiff, it really bounced on rough roads or when carrying a load with saddlebags. I had previously played around with air pressure but I never adjusted the fork. Then I finally played with the fork adjusters. I took the stiffness out (and set them to "0" when loaded), quite a difference. I had always believed that stiffer is better. Now I know that isn't true. The front is much more complaint now. I never set it up over half stiff now solo and take all the stiffness out when packed and loaded. Now I need to mess with shocks on the EV.
  18. just a note. Plan to it again next May. Great roads, great scenery. I'll plan for date & places hearing from you. I am leaning toward the same hotel.
  19. That just means dealer support will now be on par with Moto Guzzi... Dark. That is dark. FWIW, I have a tracking number on my last-ever parts order from My-Local-Moto-Guzzi-Dealer-In-Seattle-Washington. (A couple thousand miles away). uhmmmmmm. http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=97985.0
  20. Docc, Keep it original, man. Don't listen to those spend thrifts! RED WIRES RULE, baby.
  21. I leaned there were the Alps and then there were the Swiss Alps. Yep, I saw the mountains around the Eiger. We drove through a tunnel entering into Switzerland. I put on "Dark Side of the Moon" on my earbuds and we got out of the tunnel when Clare was belting "Great Gig in the Sky". Long tunnel.
  22. I just got back after spending 3 weeks in Europe and 7 or 8 of those days in Italy. Very few Guzzi sightings. A few new v7 models in Paris, a hot rod Tonti in Cinque Terre, and a Stelvio in the Alps. In fairness, the cites like Rome, Florence and Paris are full of scooters. Light and maneuverable on narrow crowded streets. The Swiss Alps were another matter. Yamahas and Beemers were the rule. I have a few photos when I get around to it. Sounds like we were close at times, Joe.
  23. no worries, I've been in Europe all month. Heading back from Paris in a couple of days. Glad you're having a good trip.
