It occurred to me today...

swear to God... 20 years ago I made a special trip to Lowes and bought FIVE 10mm wrenches of differing types, brought them home and hung them all on ONE peg at the bench. They added to the TWO in the box that I can never find. Not a problem now -
+1 on anything similar. Mesh, Not black, not complete crap, and cheap! I reach for it on days hot enough that I would otherwise not want to ride. My full perf Vanson jacket works fine on 'normal' hot days. Like this one but grey on upper and fully perforated. some time ago I did an obsessively deep dive into a Craigs List search and came up with 2 nice Vanson jackets for $200, and $175. and owners kind enough to ship. I found some extra inserts on the same search.

I got this several years ago just for "those" days. I won't say it's high quality but for $60. it works well. 5pc CE, plenty of pockets and strappage. Even has a liner. Made in C, has held up. https://www.amazon.com/Xelement-Igniter-Silver-Armored-Tri-Tex/dp/B086RQSL3M

this is my longish ride uniform. zipping out of the 'stitch is about as hard as removing the helmet.

Beautiful bike and a nice Ford too! My Tenni spent a few years in the care of a friend who had a dealer installed performance crossover, a BMC air filter, and a PC3 added. They dyno tuned it and it runs like a dream since the 8 years I've had her back home. I've swapped (similar) crossovers, hi flow mufflers, and replaced the stock intake cover and have not had a need to correct any tuning to date. I wouldn't have chosen the PC3 but it's done and she's a happy bike.

nice poster docc

@Tapoco Lodge the wedge of lettuce.

Mine have been on long enough I don't recall details but I can see marks where I bent them so they mount level. They are off at the moment awaiting batteries or I'd post a pic. They hover flat about 1/4" above the dash.
-
I attached mine to the bolts just below the gauges. I think I had to bend the little brackets some
-
comparing my 2 the early bars are about 1 inch higher and 1/2" further forward than the later ones. The fork bodies on the later bikes are about 1" longer to accommodate the bar clamp mounted above the tree.

AFAIK the one and only plate fits V11, 1100 Sport, Daytona and Centauro

on the later LM mirrors there is a bolt under the rubber to adjust the forward/backward tension but no way to adjust the ball. If I had a non usable one I'd have a go at popping off the reflective (and breaking it no doubt) to have a look see if it's repairable. I'd call MGCycle and ask since it's new and possibly just a bad part. You're likely not the first one with that question.
-
a bit less than 1000., maybe
-
Have you replaced any on yours docc? and I'm curious if the MGCycles replacement part is oem or aftermarket.
-
If the breather hose is original, consider replacing it. I don't know what they made those things of but don't trust an old one. They don't hold up to oil and heat. My '02 was shot by 2012 and my '00 needs replacing now.

Lip on the Tail - what bike was first?

1973 Kawasaki Z1 900 had one 'of sorts' -
We've got a thread on this problem here back a year or so. Yes they do fill with crud over time. Was it member antmanbee that flushed his frame with kerosene ?
-
If there was an easy way to pull up all the numerous threads from the last dozen or so years concerning air box vs pods, you would find consensus that pods are more trouble than they are worth. The stock box is engineered for optimal functionality. If the bike pulls hard it's likely not the fuel pump. If the bike came to me like that I would put it back stock and establish a base line of oem tune specs. Did you flush the gas tank? That be my #1 job for a newly acquired vintage bike.
