Recent separation from the Army.
The separation might not have been so “recent” if that mop is any indication...

the V11 does not need any add-on to be a looker
This is not so much an add-on as it is more of a complete transformation emphasizing the “sport” in V11 Sport and a racy "exercise de style", away from factory constrained production and only meant to exist in very small numbers. As you said they(G-B) are artists but what's more important to me is they are keeping the V11S relevant by using a 20+ years old platform and bringing it into today's world. Dgmw, I love the classic look of my V11CS but this is like a modern sportbike with an old soul. I think there is room for that!

It's a good thing we don't all have the same taste... life would be so dull...

@guzzler I'm with you on the original classic timelessness of the V11s but I really like what they've done in preserving the V11S old bones and turn it into a modern looking machine. Imo it looks much better than most modern sportbikes out there in great part because of it's classic pedigree. To me, it has a certain appeal(un je ne sais quoi) that none of the origami/praying mantis designs we see nowadays on much of the production bikes hold.
They actually produce a bolt-on kit to transform any V11S into this "Supersport". Finding a cheap donor bike with a good drivetrain to build on would be a fun project, albeit probably not a cheap one... better start playing the lottery...
And to hell with those damn creaking knees...

Yeah, certainly not for creaky old men, although I'm pretty sure the little training wheels showed in the picture are removable...

Ghezzi-Brian latest creation based on the V11 Sport...
It's nice to see their creativity around the old mill hasn't diminished in over some 20+ odd years.

How about the V85 TT? It seems that it would have all the attributes of the Quota but in a more modern and reliable version. It's been reported to satisfy a lot of owners/riders out there.

Yeah, definitely a “fun” project for the rainy season. Having the injectors cleaned is the easy part, I reckon I would if they’ve been on the shelf for any length of time.

I think that I’ve said it before, and no offense to all the great contributors to this forum, but I miss @Lucky Phil's vast knowledge and no-nonsense approach to all things technical.

What with my decidedly worn throttle body shafts, finding the "fully and completely closed" throttle position remains enigmatic.
Sounds like your TB’s are due for a rebuild..

This is at least the third iteration of Guzzidiag interface cables from Lonelec.
This is what their original model looked like, somehow I ended up with 2 of those and they work just fine.
Afaik there’s never been a problem connecting to Guzzidiag with cables sourced from them.

Looks like you should have received 1 usb cable with the KL-1TALIA kit according to Lonelec description.
Contents:
1 x KL-1TALIA Interface with 3 pin FAL plug. 1 x USB cable (A, Micro or C). 1 x DC power plug with battery clips 1 x Installation instructions.

Another option for the front brakes pads is Brembo 07BB1907 — Blue backing / Organic Carbon Ceramic compound.

Glad I could be of assistance @docc
Might be worth a post in the "Encyclopedia of Compatible Parts". Along with the ones you mentioned from MG Cycles.

And the ones @motoguzznix recommended.

It is odd the way they crack in a long fine line but not really following any markings on the sidewall or it’s radius.
Is the last one from the same batch as the first? Bad compound on a small batch series?
I would contact Pirelli and take those back to the place of purchase.
And stay away from them Demon-iac hoops!

I remember when one of my neighbors rolled in with one of the first Honda CB750 Four, certainly the first this 10 years old had ever seen. Golden metallic, chrome everywhere, and this enormous engine with 4 long sweeping exhaust pipes distilling this otherworldly soundtrack... that pretty much set me up for becoming a lifelong motorcycle aficionado.
