  1. It couldn't have been that howlin' burn-up across the Cherohala . . . C'mon Doccc..... I might be a flatlander but I was going quick enough on the Cherohala to work the edge rather than the middle of the tire. I am sure that we were all within the speed limits.
  2. That Pilot Road 3 on the rear of Greenie is down to the wear bars. Maybe 5k miles. Doesn't seem like good mileage to me compared to my other Michelins. The ride on I-40 back from Nashville probably contributed to center channel wear.
  3. actually they do make electronically controlled dampers that do that. You'll have to google it. BTW- I have a red frame, it can be a little twitchy but I never even touched the damper. Anyone know some ballpark settings? Also, my EV has a cheap friction damper. I've taken it apart before and fixed it. I am not sure it adds to stability but it give better "feel" as the fork doesn't feel like it's flopping around in the parking lot.
  4. Ramon, that was part of my question. You replaced the bar end dampener with an insert mount? My concern is the clip-on bar ends are actually dampers of solid stock that run the entire length of the clip on. What did it do with vibration? What is the correct adapter size? (Perhaps the inserts mounts I have would fit.)
  5. sounds like a deal, Chuck. I can almost afford it. Perhaps when you get back home again in Indiana?
  6. My Sport has a handle bar conversion. I was thinking about putting the clip-ons back on but keeping the bar end mirrors from the handlebars. My concern is the clip-on bar ends are actually dampers of solid stock that run the entire length of the clip on. If you installed bar end mirrors on clip-ons, please advise of how you installed them and how they worked out. I've also considered getting replacement handle bars but these are Pro Taper dirt bike cars that are extra large at the clamp. I can't find Superbike type bars similar the bars on the Coppa to fit.
  7. got this info from Wild Hair regarding powering peg kits. Hello John The price starts at US$170.00 depending on peg style and color. Please check http://www.whaccessories.com/Foot-Peg-Lowering-Kit-KTM-Moto-Guzzi.htm We have to order the Moto Guzzi kits from Germany, shipping is an additional US$20.00, shipping time, depending on US customs is around 4-5 weeks. During Christmas time it might take a little longer. After you installed the peg lowering kit, it is recommended to adjust the brake and shift lever accordingly. If you plan to install the kit straight down, we recommend the 22 or 30 mm kit. The 50 mm kit might work but on most bikes, the adjustment of the levers is limited. Also, the pegs kits are also adjustable, every 45 degree is an adjustment. You can install a 50 mm kit for example, 45 degree to the back, the kit becomes approx. 25 mm lower, 25 mm back. If you have a shoe size around 13, you should be able to reach the brake and shift lever. I have shoes size 9 1/2 and for me, a 50 mm kit, 45 back is not comfortable. The levers are to far away. Thank you for your interest. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us. Your Wild Hair Team Irfan www.whaccessories.com Phone & Fax 623-581-1994 Mon-Thu 9:30-5:30 PST
  8. WH? They are big in the Bandit world. Never thought about them for a V11 peg kit.
  9. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Strada-7-Motorcycle-Comfort-Grip-Covers-fits-Moto-Guzzi-Griso-Breva-Norge-Sport-/231046453237?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35cb7117f5&vxp=mtr this it?
  10. I'd like to see them but they look just like the plain foam grips that I use on the EV. Really cheap but the foam crushes after awhile especially if you haul your bike with a Canyon Dancer strap.
  11. I saw Marquez take his first victory Moto GP in Austin this April. Lorenzo ran a damn find race today but Marquez should've wrapped up the title two races ago. Big news is Burgess and Rossi parting ways after 14 years. Colin back on a Yamaha and Nicky back on a Honda. It will interesting to see how the customer rules bikes perform vs factory bikes. I wonder if Spies will make a comeback?
  12. About 10 days total. Get to Telico Thursday night. Ride for a week and get to Barber the following Thursday.

$4300 for a salvage bike? wow. Take about $2000 off it and you might have something. never mind- auction. wow again. some cool bike. low bid.
  14. That's what the factory is missing right now, a sportbike. I can just imagine something like that with a 1400 engine in higher state of tune. A conversion isn't a trivial proposition. The body work alone is 2500 euros. I think it's fantastic. The Grisso is still a long bike and doesn't have the agility of the Sport.
  15. I'll likely trailer there next year midweek. what about doing it back to back with Barber Vintage? I'd bring my toy hauler. Ride all week and get to Barber on Thursday. I know a nice campsite in Chattanooga on the way there.
  16. when you get really aggressive or do a track day, you'll trail brake. This is basically hitting the brakes hard in a straight line but keeping light pressure on to the apex of the corner until you hit the gas. Use both brakes to do it to keep the bikes stable. The Cherohala is a real wide open road that can be taken extremely fast before you need trail braking. Perhaps something like the Dragon would be a little better example? BTW- I'd really like to do this Spine Frame Raid again. Is there any chance that some of us would like to get there midweek? Say Wednesday night, so we can ride with less traffic and maybe ride the Dragon?
  17. Docc- you can use both the front & rear brake when trail braking. typically you use the front brake the most.
  18. I'd like to see some bikes on the logo, a sport and lemans.
  19. sounds like a common well nut ? Typically sued to attach windshields on to fairings. Ace Hardware carries a good selection. Not sure if you have a hardware chain in the UK with good fastener selection.
  20. poor me, I only have two Guzzis and a Moto Suzuki. All red, except for when it's green.
  21. I'd like a T or Sweat. Hopefully with a Green Sport on it.
  22. geeees. that's a name I haven't heard in 35 years. I have one of their albums but no room to plug in a turntable.
