  1. That's a hard hit. You might want to check the edges of your rims. I bent the rear on my BMW hitting a pot hole. Didn't lose air and was repairable.
  2. I'm down from 7 to 3. My spiral downward was initially inspired by maintenance x time + other interests = sacrifice. My age and waning strength is now an undeniable factor. The Tenni is my last and only bike over 400lb. I have the DR650 down under 350lb, and it's lots of fun. I'm looking seriously at this Triumph -slightly above 400. I think it'll be country road fun, now I've left the city behind, presumably *lite* maintenance and, I think I can pick it up if It falls over.
  3. I used Duc Monster pegs. The same but with a rubber sleeve. I got got them used on epay
  4. Happy Independence Day Docc, and fellow Yanks.
  5. mine did too. when/if you get the RAM unit, would you mind posting the their install recommendations for these? I can't find mine (or anything else since my recent move) but I recall doing schnoors and loctite on my RAM install. ps. the RAM is an absolute pleasure to behold.
  6. Loads of chatter in various threads here, but no proven formula afaik. If i recall, it's down to the actuator rod length/dia and maybe the cup hole diameter, depending on the rod you use (and maybe modify). It'll be great to have a definitive example of parts and measurements for the RAM 5sp used in a 6spd.
  7. Your personal trucks? do tell
  8. thanks. I will follow your progress if you'd care to post it. It's great so far and one can easily see the potential with the direction you are headed. I'm just considering my first camera purchase and this is helpful and a very interesting test. As far as a video -to accompany a for sale advert- goes... this effort is over the top by norm standards and should hasten the sale. Dang, it makes me even want it. What a beauty.
  9. I bought a bike with a 2 y/o Shorai in 2018. I removed it and it's been on the bench since, untouched. Tested it 3 mos ago during my move to see if I should pitch it. 13.1v I did throw out a 10 y/o Odyssey that went to 4v and wouldn't take a charge. Wish I'd known your 2 battery hack.
  10. John Prine has a great writing style imo. A- not so snarky -protester. A similar, somewhat under the radar, lyricist is John Hartford Both artists have a boatload of tunes that are covered by others.
  11. a technique I'm not altogether opposed to, considering how our "tipped" employees are treated at income tax time. Just realize they are only asking...It's a convenience for some, annoyance for others (me).. if you think it's not appropriate, don't pay it. There is always a way around it. Stand your ground.
  12. Amazon seems to have it. free ship if you're a Prime member https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B097YXY9GC/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1
  13. can't tell if yours are the 'lane splitters' that I use on another bike. they have a quick pivot feature to easily bend out of the way when struck..
  14. Exactly. The Tenni was the first V11 I'd ever seen. I didn't even have to ride it. That said, any temptation regarding a motorcycle should be acted on.
  15. Leave it to Dr Peterson to so eloquently beard the lion. I've just moved to my new and presumably last home, after 26 years. No family so just a single guy's work and hobby junk. An amazing amount of crap. It forces one assign value to each item. I had to face the reality of the advice I had given a close friend not so long ago. He was bemoaning the amount of 'stuff' he had accumulated and didn't know where to begin. I told him that when he's gone, someone will walk through your things, look around, and throw most of it out. Little did I know at the time that he would pass within the year. Close family kept a small keepsake, auctioned or donated the rest. My girlfriend now gets to sort through her pile of belongings so her house can be sold. Country life awaits us. I have to buy a tractor. ... and a few other things

  17. No. But they open doors to ours.
  18. I know some humans that function similarly.
