  1. Woodburn, mmmmyes! clicking on the photo reveals yet another photo. with a sleek early fairing. Beautiful! you should post that one too.
  2. I'm looking forward to following your adventure, riding and getting to know her. Welcome to the forum, and ... well ... may the force be with you!
  3. No, sorry. I wanted to see the pedal arm up close first to see if the folders would even work. If it looks like they might, I may get 'em. If all goes haywire with your order, maybe they'll be available. ?
  4. by the time I got around to ordering the MGCycle brake pedal, they were out of both colors. I ordered the silver anyway. Gordon said they were in transit so shouldn't have to wait long. I put a splint on my broken one, so I can use till then. I will inspect the new pedal and appraise it for use with the "folding toes" asap.
  5. re: brick, and they were faithful to era auto design on the bodywork. Some nice metalwork there, but ... for looks?? c'mon.
  6. Thank God this woman survived some rough years. I get the privilege of seeing her for the second time on Oct 1.
  7. Hey, you get that from a shop in Leland MS? I was watching that for awhile! Glad you got it. It looks great. Welcome to the forum.
  8. gosh, I don't know what Dave's original criteria for V11 rivals was, but for me, if it has more, or less than 2 cylinders, it doesn't fit as comparable. just me..
  9. I have to agree about the "style line" Docc. I'd want that on any replica tank I buy
  10. we've come full circle. I posted this suggestion 1 year ago my "other" strange rattle, was my head pipe intermittently hitting the sump
  11. wheelbase for 2000 is 1471mm -- 2004 listed as 1490 with 25deg rake. could find no rake spec for 2000 that's about the 2cm difference, provided there's no rake changes Do you perceive any handling differences, now you've had a proper ride?
  12. and what does swapping shocks reveal.... hmmmm? a favorite emerging?
  13. Me too Docc. I stumbled thru the site and only found this I could understand http://www.garagemotoguzzi.com/en/cool site check out "menu" too
  14. Na its got decent amount of packed stainless steel wool inside. I want a nice sound without it being like a harley with straight throughs Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk You can see the pipe's "packing space" in the rear shot. I'll bet it's music. What about the rest of the system? are they joined with a crossover?
  15. Looks good. I'm in. So will it be spine or carc for you?
  16. Gorgeous! At some point, could we pleeease.. hear it?
  17. Thanks Marty. I had heard of doing this so I did it as soon as I got home. I used a 4" iron pipe and a body hammer. Waiting on s/s rivets now. I'm glad I got to read that thread. I may add to it with some photos when I complete my very important mission. We like our Titanium.
  18. yeah, from the look of that x-ray, we could have installed the parts as well. though you would have had to "drink from the jar" and probably bite on a stick.
  19. those look nice. I can't work out "folding" option on them. what is that? the shorties are the way to go and... Pazzo does not list the V11... ?
  20. the folding toes are the bomb. I think I should wait till I settle on the levers, and then see how friendly they'll be to the folders.
  21. As far as I can tell... yes
  22. A 'no speed' drop left me with a broken rear brake pedal last weekend (and a squished Ti can ). The lever is a cheap casting, or as Docc explained ... "delicate" , so I don't want another one of those. I've been looking and found this http://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=50&products_id=4388 The silver one is out of stock but I kinda like the black. There is no black matching for the shifter. Not a big deal, I can paint/powder it. I do not want the extended versions. I like stock positions. Does anyone have another option in mind? Harpers has one but not as nice as this one (at least I think). Part 2 of this question is for the brake and clutch hand levers. My bar brake lever was only slightly bent but if it had snapped, my day would have been very different. I was reminded of my nephew having a crash on his VFR and spending the rest of the trip with vice grips as a clutch lever. Now that my new RAM clutch is installed and ever so light, I'm thinking about those short and sweet racy levers. I'll carry my stock ones with me for insurance. I think several members have them and wonder what I should look for. thanks
