Edit: I added a circular patch so you can decide which one is the best.

This is a first attempt for your review; I used a vector drawing application, therefore there is no limit to what can be done, colors included.

The "Le Mans" mimic the writing on my own V11.

The "Orange" is not the exact one. If anybody knows the exact code used, let me know.

Give you opinion in the poll, and suggest changes as you see fit. I used a "shield" form for the patch, but we could use a circular one just as well.

Once we get the design finalized, I will poll to see how many are interested in having one, or more, and I will get quotations.

Nice...

Prefer the shield.

Suggestions/comments:

1. "Forum" is kinda blurry...doing the letters like the "R" is done sharpens it up to my aged eyes.B)

2. "V11" seems too elongated/skinny. Reducing its height would help, IMO, ans add emphasis to that great motor graphic.

3. "Le Mans" is perfect.

Appreciate the effort!

I like the "V11" and "Le Mans" font/shadowing!

I can see a horizontal oval with "V11" and "Le Mans" flanking the crankcase, and simply ".com", small, at the bottom.

Perhaps a small figure of the our forum's "LeMans rider, banking" at the top, between the heads (with @Admin Jaap's approval) . . .

Owing to recent developments, eliminating the name "Guzzi" is well advised. :nerd:

Possibly an oval or more semi- elliptical...hey it worked for STP. 😁  I like the V11/LeMans flanking the engine as was suggested...keeping the engine fully exposed could be a nicer look.

I am going to answer in the order received;

1.) my objective is to have the "FORUM" read easily. I selected an "ALL CAPS" font and added some effects. This is an easy fix.

2.) as in 1., I picked a font that would stand out. I could actually make my own "V11".

What if it said "Motha of all Forums" across the top of the round one instead of just forum? Just a thought. I'd be in regardless. Thanks

This would be a long sentence, given that I am planning a small patch, I would end up using small fonts that would make the sentence difficult to read. If we were making a larger patch, the kind you put on the back of a vest, this would become possible.

Noted.

I would not think Piaggio wants to mess with a non profit, non commercial embroidery. I mean, if I was planning to make an earning and put it on Etsy or eBay, maybe.

I would give you a similar answer to that same proposal a few threads up.

If we keep the patch small, a long inscription, even a circular one will imply small fonts.

Now, on a large patch, the kind you affix on the back of your jacket, like motorcycle clubs do, then yes it would be possible.

Initially, my idea was to make a small patch, however we can include a larger design to serve for a larger patch.

The companies that turn the design into embroidery have a minimum quantity stipulation.

Anyway, I will add the suggesting wording once we have a model that is finalized.

I’m cool with the designs, but a couple of ideas…

1. Could both the shield and round designs be made.

2. Could the patches be in different sizes.

3. Could stickers he made in two sizes, one for helmets, the other for side bags or panniers.

Otherwise sign me 🆙

@Joe The design(s) is/are dimensionless; you can take any to a specialist company, and tell them what you want; sew on, adhesive, size and so on.

At this point, I am trying to get ideas on a patch design that would symbolize the V11LeMans forum.

I am not even certain we will all agree on a single design, but if you are interested in one in particular, you can get it done. This is what I did with the V11 Le Mans bike patch in red. You may want to have the same in a different color.

For the record, I used this company: https://masterscustompatches.com/ and have no affiliation with them.
