Not a perfect solution, but perhaps something for the interim . . . 02 Moto Guzzi V11 V 11 LeMans Le Mans right side upper cowl fairing cover https://www.ebay.com/itm/273414634761?_skw=Moto+Guzzi+v11+lemans+fairing&itmmeta=01JT4Q3FK0AY677BXEAJV5V6R0&hash=item3fa8c83d09:g:wPYAAOSwMwRbd2eq&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAABAFkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1d3mkGl5RUy%2B0kRLG33imxOcPV2zIEchNOgiNZT%2F1OBDZoQeknxEcvaoB6zuZQdQCWJaQbH8GPtgIb5BTpHdBgSrOp%2B4Qz1CW84c1ktNk37mW04%2BCRzSEdN%2BI7IgxjXZxu7PhrvZ0%2FOvTugecQDHdsCrQ2cj50nAqGNT3L3j2yREDTTj%2F5UU8x1QUjdIDltDFjlmbtzGhs%2FGSCW%2FjqP4Kmd9YYI5dnSglCe%2B1zKgRj1iDyIctn%2Fr88Hp7CfAKEjHMqsKvaYD5O8j5yDwmJLrQD%2BBVssvwTYfCj7OTGqbNSeP8kvEVQk%2BWVwzsYbln5QelQ%3D|tkp%3ABFBM1PmNl9Fl

Bummer for the bike. Glad you stayed upright and safe. It might need to a Sport for little while, but to do so, you will need a different way to mount the headlight. How's the fairing's left side? Maybe you can find a fairing from a bike that went down on the left and use the right side of it. I saw a herd (fluffle? ... colony? ...) of wild hares last week while riding my dirt bike in Anza Borrego Desert State Park. At first I thought is was a pack of small dogs. They can get big, and they are wicked fast and agile. But given the damage in the photo, I'd wager the LeMans was going a lot faster.

He's not talking about rabbits, he's talking about hares, possibily what you would call a jackrabbit. They can apparently get up to 70cm long and a weight of 7 kg. I wouldn't like to hit one.
-
Did you hit a rabbit or a calf ?

Yes, keep an eye on the ads, and be prepared to have the replacement painted. Losing the fairing would be a tragedy. EDIT: if everything else fails, this might be an option. Probably expensive, I expect, but better than losing the fairing. And it is pretty. http://www.magni.it/v11_fairing.htm

I'm just wondering, why do you want clamps for a 28mm handlebar? Do you have a particular handlebar in mind? As far as I know, most handlebars are 22mm, not 28mm. And my personal opinion, this claim from the text sounds like bullshit to me: For the other inmates here: that claims that the higher handlebar provides a more direct "steering feel". In my experience, the further away from the upper triple-clamp (obere Gabelbrücke) the handlebar is, the more indirect the steering feels.

Been to Sweden and Denmark twice. My wife has family in Sweden. We might go again this summer, but this time it will be Sweden and Norway, specifically Oslo. A very good friend moved back home there after spending 30 years here. I'll be there with family, so riding is out, but dang, Norway has to be riding heaven.

I have not been to Cars & Coffee in San Clemente. I'll send PM re some times for a ride. A San Diego (backcountry) or Sierra Spine Raid would be cool.

The long awaited SURFIN' SPINE RAID !

Hmmm, now that I think about this, @Scud did I meet you by chance a few months ago at C&C and just hadn't realized it was you from the V11 forum?
-
@Scud I seem to have finally worked out all the bugs in my V11, sounds like you have too. I'm now retired, so even more time to ride. Let's plan something together. We could meet in San Clemente for Cars & Coffee as it's in the middle.

Keep an eye on Kleinanziegen.de Cheers Tom.

After installing MPH risers on my 01 Rosso Mandello, I was able to buy a hydraulic clutch line for a 1997 MG Centauro, which is longer than my original stock line, It works great.

I uhh, have not been having a good time lately. I went out for a ride with a friend this evening, and a wild hare jumped into my bike out from nowhere! Thankfully I didn't crash, but the fairing is completely messed up now. Does anyone know if it's even possible to get a proper matching replacement in the Netherlands, or is my Lemans now doomed to become a Sport?
-
heck yes…. been on my bucket list for while, to get over to the motherland to tour, for the beautiful scenery, family roots, and the decent handful of nordic guzzi folks over there, like Tom! But playing tour guide for my own family on recent visits has cramped my riding options. eventually will work it in.

They have a bit for compensating the distance for the brake line. https://voigt-mt.de/3-cm-Verlaengerung-fuer-Bremsleitung-oder-Kupplungsleitung-universal But for a little more you have a new brake line. Also nice after 20 years :-)

Once could imagine an impurity in the alloy cast, or a fissure caused by a specific condition. Piaggio would know as their dealer would have reported the failure.

Dear all, after 20 years am still owning and riding a 2004 Moto Guzzi V11 Sport Ballabio. All running great. Just wondering if the cables and brake hydraulic pipes etc would be long enough to install some 20 mm 'risers' between the bars and triple clamp? Was considering these, even if they are a bit pricey compared to some standard stock models: https://voigt-mt.de/Lenkererhoehung-Riser-20mm-fuer-Lenker-mit-O-28mm-mit-ABE thanks for any help/advice! Cheers, Jonathan

I would be happy to add the theme "V11 Spine Raid" to the international rally of the dutch guzzi club. You can benefit of the music and other things we already have and we will add a trophy for the best Spine, frame of the Rally. Next year is also 105years Moto Guzzi, so we poke them up in June to go to Mandello in September as well.

The whole idiotic front tyre pressure debacle is caused by the stupid Aerodynamic rules currently in place. WSBK has no front tyre pressure issues because Aero doesn't play a significant role in a WSB. Dump the aero rubbish and the whole front tyre pressure issue disappears. Phil

Geez @Tomchri, I think your place is listed as a place to see in the Norway travel brochure. There's the fjords, and then there's your shop.

@Kevin_T . . . I can "write you a note." Consider it done! Y'all come, now! Ya hear?
