I would think it would be strong enough for that job. Austin, the young man that runs my cnc mill, has a 3D printer, and he's always making things for the shop. Depending on what material is used, it can be pretty durable.

Many aircraft engines use brass nuts on the exhaust. They won't rust to the stud and become a bolt. Spring washers work fine until they don't. They'll eventually break and leave a loose fastener.

Good luck, and *probably* a new voltage regulator to boot.

FrankenGuzzi. A pretty nice one, but still. My guess is a wreck rebuild.

*Really* nice video, Brad. Nice try, but I'll keep the Mighty Scura.. -
It's hard to consider being a parts supplier for Guzzis. There is really no market to pay for tooling, etc.
-
The shifter return spring is *really* heavy. That, combined with the heavy pawl spring causes a divot in the shifter pawl where the spring is heavily loaded on the down shift. It can hang up there. You'll probably want to put in one of the new lighter unbreakable pawl springs, and blueprint the preselector mechanism per the thread by Lucky Phil.

Like painting, tank lining is all about the prep. Of course, you have to use premium materials, too.
-
It's actually pretty easy. I did a tutorial on WG on lining a Rosso Corsa's tank with Caswell epoxy. The last I knew, it was still fine. Also saved an "unfixable" Quota tank with the same stuff. $42. Cheap. (Guzzi content)

Uhh, I pay 80 cents a gallon not to use it. That said, here in corn country non ethanol fuel is almost non existent. A guy has to use it when venturing away from the one station that has it locally. Really, I don't see any performance loss, but it *will* cause your tank to swell, and bubble the finish.

Oh, I have.. a fair amount..but it's pretty tame compared to the SoCal canyons. I've been spoiled. This was on the last ride of the Mighty Scura in the Santa Monica Mountains. If you look carefully, you can see the road a couple of thousand feet below. Also, I have to negotiate the Indy "ant farm" between here and there. It takes me two hours to get anywhere good, ride for a bit and two hours back. It's just *not* a good place to ride a Monza. -
Excellent, and thanks!

Nice lathe work..

I had a Monza for a couple of years after looking for one for many years. It's a better bike then the sum of it's parts. My Kid lusted over it, though, and he has it now. It was wasted in Indiana with our straight roads. He'll enjoy it in Wisconsin. -
Not remotely..

There is no end to the "shaved apery" a guy can find on a Guzzi.. "Oh yeah.. just put some epoxy and a hose clamp on it, Cletus.. it'll be fine."

Needs forward controls and apes..

Between the Mighty Scura (my all time favorite bike) and the AeroLario, I have the bases covered. I guess I have simple tastes.. Well, I'd kinda like to have one of those sand cast MV 4s, but not enough to open my wallet to actually get one. -
Looks like the bastards have done it again. I didn't mind when they put their logo on the stored pix, but this is on a par with their blocking technique. I went with ImgZeit. Simple interface, works with fones easily. I wonder if there is a way to move those photoblockit images to ImgZeit? I have *many* in the Lario Rehab and Aero Engine tutorials.. Blurring the images makes them useless.

Yep, that's unobtainium all right. Good score..

I think a little over 5 gallons useable is about right. I get around 38 mpg at 80 or so. The low fuel light normally starts it's thing around 165-170 miles. I "think" I could make 200 miles in a pinch, but have never pushed it..I'd definitely be on my best behaviour after the light starts to glow.

I believe the proper term is "sloppage." Welcome to the forum..

I know the feeling. I *hate* to start up an aircooled engine without warming it up, so I was pushing the AeroLario down to the shop in deep snow with the wind blowing 25 in near zero F weather. Got to the hanger apron, and it was ice covered under the snow. Managed to get the kick stand down as the bike and I were sliding sideways. Realized I was puffing and blowing like a steam engine, and saw a hooded figure coming down the path I'd just made. He laid his scythe on the bike, scrolled down on his I pad, and said," come along Mr. Stottlemeyer." I said, "No, no, there must be some mistake..I'm not ready yet." He just gave me the roll eye and said, "You can't *imagine* how many times I've heard that one.." I grabbed his Ipad, and saw my name was spelled wrong. Pointed that out. Many people spell it meyer instead of myer. He just said, "Crap. I've gotta talk to the girl that transcribes this stuff. Sorry to have startled you." and walked off. Whew. The next time, I was under the knife for a cancer operation. He came strolling in, fidgeted a bit, and said, "You know.. this is a *really* complicated procedure. It's been 5 hours now.. well, I'll be damned. You found yourself a *really* good cutter. Better get your bucket list covered, though.. I'll be back." So far, so good..
