  1. sometimes you just gotta look at it. the clamp install, should you choose to use it, is brain stem.
  2. remember, 7k pounds is 9700 US. I got the Tenni new in '02 and paid 11,700. and thought it was a deal. I still think it was. I watched a Scura for sale in NJ for several weeks last fall. It was $6995. mileage around 14k. I considered it, but the ad language put me off. Still, I didn't think it was out of line value-wise.
  3. where do I sign up?
  4. once you get it up there, you'll see how it goes. put the screw end against the (thing hanging there) in a fashion that won't allow the filter to unscrew
  5. agreed. I think it's just the camera lens making those cans look weird.
  6. I used the "1&1/8 past touching" up until using the jubilee clip. It was pretty tight. never came loose.
  7. notable quote if memory serves, overheard @ a recent SR evening conversation "don't ask me, I drank from the jar"
  8. I haven't needed or used any gasket goo yet. I did start using a hose clamp on the filter. Easy add for peace of mind. Stugnu --- what is a jubilee clip?
  9. pretty Norton Mr Dave
  10. Dave I don't see a Roper line. Have you installed one? So is the "gallon" with or without the plate Scud? I use the same HF wheel chock on my cheapbuteffective HF lift
  11. looks like a first class show. wish it traveled. thanks Dave
  12. how's it look from the gauge side? the bike looks great btw. I'm glad you kept the color. It really pops in the sun."like strawberry wine"
  13. "Quick question....... Why don't you use the service stand to store the Rosa? The rear suspension will have less weight." That's probably a good idea. This stand came with the bike and I wanted to try it out. It's a little squirrely getting it to not slip on the swingarm while installing (whew!) but it sure goes up easy. Very little pressure. I won't use it again till (if)I can correct that. Meantime, I'll use the other one.
  14. this method looks reasonable, quick, and maybe not costly.... speaking as a proud non-tech, of course.
  15. me too, sans grumble....
  16. yet one contributor is deft enough to participate AND retain grip on his beer. Keen talent, organize and prioritize!
  17. all the California's fit don't they. always some on epay
  18. Glad you're safe Hayo. Sorry for the bike failure. Welcome to the forum. Lots of pertinent info on here. Was the motor bell housing damaged?
  19. Where might these be ordered Phil? Google is a bit skittish with that question.
  20. That's a great deal on a great bike. I just found one a couple weeks ago (a lot closer) or I'd have been tempted (again) to look at yours. Good luck!
  21. well done lads! and not a computer in sight
  22. That's awesome. Lucky town
  23. “Mine fly concentric. Don't get between 'em. You could get pinched . . “. Just ask those two turkey vultures
  24. I was turned on to Seafoam a few years ago by a friend who is a life long mechanic. Granted, he's "old school" but he's talented, and a believer. Since we in the midwest have a "bike season", they tend to sit for a few months, unused and in fluctuating temps and humidity. He puts the stuff in first Spring gas for all motors that sit for the winter. I do as well. I also use it if I have an unusual poor running condition when I can't get an answer by doing the usual checks. I use it in all "new to me" gas tanks. I believe it does some fuel system cleaning. The guy in the video makes some good points, but his goofy jabber doesn't inspire confidence.
