  1. something about the photo Chuck .... the guy with no shoes ... oh never mind
  2. Wow G. thanks for the kind words. If you knew me you might say "I guess that really IS an easy job"
  3. Welcome to the forum LAGuzzi. They look like a knowledgable company. I'll bet they'd be inclined to give you some good wiring ideas. Are those type lights all in that price range? I think the Billie Jr brake light is interesting. Post your progress. https://www.clearwaterlights.com/pages/safety-lights
  4. Docc, my '00 & '02 are the same as your bike.
  5. did that come on later bikes too? my '00 has it, but not my '02. It was missing on the '03 I had.
  6. what ^^^ he ^^^ said. It's easy enough to handle, even if you just have that one small, annoying dent you were resigned to live with.
  7. looks like a great score czakky! always wanted one
  8. good info Docc, as usual. thanks. Probly shoulda said .. it's the 2 outboard fingers I tend to use most. the pinky and one next to it. weird, I know.
  9. I had an experience last month on the interstate that has me agreeing. Heavy traffic, changing lanes to pass at 80 mph, car came into my lane and hit the brakes. A too quick grab of the brake locked up the front tire long enough for a loud screech. Scary but reassuring. how's the foot Dave? Here is the thing, better brakes aren't just about more power. Better brakes can give you more control as well. A stiffer, firmer brake lever that gives you better control of how much brake you apply as well as offering more braking power can be a good thing. On a side note, do you brake with one, two, three, or four, fingers? I think the brakes on the V11 are excellent. The Sport is a bit more sensitive than my LM, which has short levers. I tend to use 2 fingers. In a rare panic brake, there's no time for analysis, just automatic grab a hand full. That's where abs shines. I'm glad V11's don't have it.
  10. Foto, ... those beautiful pic locations could be a dozen places in Indiana. Gotta love the midwest.
  11. When Mike had the bike listed for sale, he said the clutch was replaced with a RAM single plate. I believe he inspected the flywheel and it showed no issues. I hope I don't have issues. Here's what Mike said he did to the bike before selling it. Suspension: rebuilt rear shock and retuned the forks when I replaced the fork seals. Clutch: Replaced the stock clutch with a RAM single plate clutch. Tube Bars: replaced the clip ons with a fat bar. Exhaust: Moto Guzzi Titanium race exhaust. ECU: Retuned using an exhaust gas analyzer when the exhaust was changed. Hoses and lines: Replaced any old hoses and lines. Removed the emissions canister etc. Regulator: added a ground wire to the regulator Great! The RAM clutch replacement includes a steel flywheel, and It's a complete 'bench balanced' unit. No worries now. I installed mine myself, and really like the feel of it. Sounds like it's had some love in other areas too. Have fun with her!
  12. Nice. The perfect machine for that stuff. Camera gets a workout too... beautiful. Does the new rear favor a tiny bit more 'on pavement' time? Happy TG to ya! Hope the rains are welcome.

  14. Welcome IE! What's been done to her? Pics when you can. Has the clutch/flywheel been addressed?
  15. love this ... and somewhat relevant...... "and all that road going" only 7 min
  16. I'll bet Enzo at Cadre Cycle will pack them back in that factory box the way they came out. That's how I got mine from Harpers... well protected! Not a bad price for extinct parts. I think they were closer to 1500. when new. Harpers sold a mysteriously "discovered" batch of kit's awhile back for $1000. I happily bought one. (I'd still offer extra for bubble wrap
  17. Yeah... Curtis has a RM for sale now... one he just had painted, he said.
  18. Another plus for doing them both at the same time is cost. The shops around here anyway, may charge for "set up" when coating a custom color. It also guarantee's the color and sheen will be the same. Keep us posted!
