  1. Yes, thanks. At that price I can test quality and effectiveness for myself. My concern is how it attaches to the bucket, and what happens to the day running light wire, or whatever that small bulb is called?
  2. Myself and my buddy Bill will attend once again. Would not miss it!
  3. Yeah, I forgot about those. No doubt they’ve been on the frame neck all along the spine era
  4. Thanks, that’s just the information I needed. My feet need a lot of support these days so I certainly don’t want anything sloppy. I’ll keep looking
  5. the fairing "frame" mounting points are present on my early 2000 neck. It indicates something was planned early on.
  6. Did you ever get the Forma's? They don't have half sizes so I'm leery to try 'em without some sizing knowledge. Chuck said they are wide... which I don't need.
  7. Ducati Monster - late '90s foot pegs are the same, but with a nice rubber covering. Just a thought.
  8. OK, you beat me to it. I've been tracking these ^^ hard for 2 months. Been so close twice. Rode one last weekend and loved it. Waiting on a trade-in coming in this week (hope). Curious to know what "brought you" to this??
  9. so far I have this... I have a stock single plate and a stock dual plate. the stacked height for both is 55mm. bear in mind they are not bolted tight together, just stacked without springs. I'm curious why, in the photo where you tried out the new 6spd hub, the splines sit flush with the clutch splines, then in subsequent photos (where you were measuring), both hubs drop in further? seems odd Also remember, the hub is attached to the trans and does not "bottom out" into the clutch assembly. hope this helps
  10. Give me a chance to get to the parts and I'll report back. The hub you get with the 5 spd kit is not relevant.
  11. Kiwi's will make their own! I'll take one for sure, 2 if needed for totals
  12. there are no markings on the flywheel, however, it would seem that a single plate clutch system that was designed for specific oem use in 3 model variations, would be supplied to MG by one source. Especially given the uniqueness and compatibility of said kit. Now, ... RAM could very well have outsourced the flywheel and probably did.. to a casting vendor, but I doubt MG made it. Without some "inside" info or markings, I doubt we'll ever know. Safe to say - don't ever install one. Guzzi (circa 2000) "it'd be cool to put a lightened flywheel in some of the new models... hey RAM, what'dya think?" RAM ... "no problem"
  13. Thanks for that list Rolf. That will be of help to someone looking to do the swap.
  14. docc, you had asked me about a needle tip for greasing the front u-joint recently. I recall posting a photo... but I've lost it ... and the tip, so I got another today. Not the same but it works! Thought I should post results, a good a place as any. The sharp point is tapered and is just the correct size to depress the tiny ball in the zerk. It doesn't have a straight approach, but good enough to get the job done. Keeping max downward pressure, only a tiny bit gets out around the tip. The rest gets through to fill the little bastard. 15. However she started life, she's undergone some changes. Many RC's get painted because of the bubbled decals. The brown chops and valve covers, with Ohlins, suggests a converted Cafe' Sport maybe. Still... a very nice machine Jwatch, and welcome to the forum!
  16. when my fuel pump quits, it's replacing relay #5 that makes it happy
  17. there is a small ball just inside the lever housing which aids activation of the brake light switch.
  18. I posted this earlier in this thread ... "I have an actuating rod from a dual plate '03 and it measures 203mm in length by 8mm I have the OEM 6spd clutch actuating rod receiving cup, or "button" with a hole measuring 8.68mm. I don't have the rod to measure length as it's in the bike. I had, and threw out, a 5spd clutch. I measured the "button" hole and posted it somewhere on the forum in one of our conversion threads. I believe it's smaller in dia. maybe 6 or 7mm??" Sorry
  19. If I hadn’t already done the same I’d buy it for the parts
