  1. Past hour
  2. Bloody hell, that's made quite a difference..... If only it worked as well on creaky knees and dodgy backs! Cheers
  3. I know what you mean. When I was repping I'd have the radio on in the car and it was the same.... Got to be that you almost knew what song was going to come on at a particular time. After I'd been through most channels ( well ones I could stand anyway ) I went to talkback,it was ok for a bit but soon turned to the soft and pungent! That was some years ago and to this day the radio in the car doesn't get turned on, well maybe for a few minutes for a traffic report if it ( traffic ) grinds to a halt. Cheers
  4. Today
  5. Geez,,she could pop round and gaze at my greenie any time she likes.....! Maybe bring Vespa girl too? Cheers
  6. Early production 2000 Sport with the finned steel exhaust flanges. #960 of about 3500 produced that year.
  7. When I inherited my dad's V11 last year I always planned on getting rid of these old , purple faded Tekno bags. With them being all worn out I thought it made the bike look bad. Then I realized that these things are rarer than hens teeth! I looked at a few older posts on here but didn't see anything that wowed me. After searching around I found a post on a Harley forum recommending Kiwiw Scuff Cover for black leather shoes to use on faded synthetic bags. At $5 a bottle I figured it was worth a try. What a HUGR difference using this as well as some zipper lube has made on these bags. They don't look brand new, but they look like the rest of the bike - pretty good for it's age! Pics from what they looked like when faded, one coat of the scuff remover on the bags, and then finally 3 coats with the bags on the bike
  8. In case you havnt scratched that Greenie itch yet ( I have) I don't know the bike seller but it looks pretty decent ( 24 years later ) and at a decent price imo https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/mcy/d/redwood-city-moto-guzzi-v11-sport/7748094867.html
  9. It doesn't offend me visually, but I really don't understand the waste of time instead of riding it. They've put the Honda-esque motor on full display, though, wuff. I'd rather see someone F**k up a new bike than a rare classic, though.
  10. John, surely by now you know that ranting hyperbole is my stock and trade.
  11. Seen a lot worse!! I'm left wondering if what I've done to my bikes over the years would invoke the wrath of Pete?
  12. Anyone want to unpack why it’s ugly and stupid because it is both. Part of that is poor, cheap engineering of the platform. The thing is that those faults are exacerbated by the styling changes, not hidden or improved.
  13. Yesterday
  14. I have no problem with it, in fact I encourage it. OEM is by default, a dime a dozen. If someone wants to be creative, why not? It's built for their own preference. Some people follow stick and ball sports when they could follow MotoGP, I'll never understand it, but to each, his own.
  15. The wee rear fender has a nice, flowing shape to it, but . . . "That is all."
  16. I wish the MGS-01 body kit was still available.
  17. WHY oh WHY? ..I don't think "testicles" will work..they couldn't have had any...
  18. That people who do things like this should be castrated and choked with their own testicles That is all.
  19. Last week
  20. Usually not much fun getting the mail, but sometimes. Got the patches today, BIG THANK YOU. Cheers TOM. Sent fra min SM-S906B via Tapatalk
  21. I am still waiting for it. I gave it to MPH Cycles for a baseline after I purchased it. Then I decided to fix the Tachometer and refresh both Tachometer and Speedometer at Casa di Moto in Germany. That took the complete month of March and some, because of an issue with customs. The instruments were imported permanently in Germany instead of temporarily, and FedEx was trying to make us pay for it when the customs declaration was a clear "repair and return". I recently went to check and Davey is swimming in motorcycles to get ready for the riding season. As long as I have the V11 to roam around, I am fine. Besides, I never quite understood how he manages his work. I thought he followed FIFO, but it is not evident that he does. The first time I went there, I was informed the turn around time is about six weeks. Now that I have a little experience with them, I'd say six weeks are optimistic. I only make use of their services for what I can't do myself.
  22. A. Lopez should have been sanctioned for his pass on Joe Roberts in the final lap. This is the consensus. Joe Roberts would have finished 3rd instead of 4th. As usual, the stewards' decisions remain completely opaque to the rest of the field. I guess they like to be despised by everyone.
  23. @Guzzi-in-Vancouver, The original answer on this was never given. Was the poor running because the L/H throttle body had popped off? I know other things were done but what was the primary issue? Phil
