There are two or 3 types v11 Marzocchi forks, Andreani has cartridges for one type, I think the black ones with 40mm legs. But they sell them as for all years what is wrong. Lucky Phil has put a lot of time in this. I'm sure he documented some here.3 points

Recent events here reveal how critical a forum's stewardship (plus diligence, persistence, expertise, and determination) [are] to preserving a forum. Jaap continues to stand over our flock by the gate. Glad to hear that Pete's persistence has paid off for the Griso community!3 points

decided to go with later Ballabio style fairing/instrument mount. this won't work. and I could not paint over the cf there is one small crack on the windscreen, there are no other major scuffs or scratches I bought it from Guzzi Tech, included is the mounting hardware. I haven't opened it, what's there is there. $400 US plus shipping. let me know if you want more pics, whatever thank you!2 points

While 1999 V11 Sport are known in Europe, I am not sure we have verified any V11 Sport in the USA until the 2000 year model. Also, I wonder if the V11 only lingered into 2005 in Europe while US V11 ended with 2004. For instance, I don't think we have ever seen a (delicious) 2005 Scura R in The States . . .1 point

I dare say it'll have more torque than standard, but not neccesarily a great deal more peak power. They seem to go looking for torque at Dynotec, for instance here: https://www.dynotec.de/modelle/Stelvio 1200 4V.html This is what the text next to the graph says: I gather that is for a 2V / cylinder Motor, but a quick look around the site reveals a trend towards "two-stage" tuning, with the first stage concentrating on torque, see also the pages for the 1200 Sport and the Quota. https://www.dynotec.de/modelle/1200 Sport _ Norge _ Griso.html https://www.dynotec.de/modelle/Moto Guzzi Quota 1100 ES.html Like most tuning places, "tricked up by Dynotec" doesn't have to mean they have gone the whole hog. It might just mean they have made it run the way it should as opposed to the way it left the production line.1 point

Al, after all those Guzzi years, you have never found out that the USA gets bikes one year late? The le mans was delivered here in 2001, I had one too, where I got my gearbox of for the Daytona. It's not only Guzzi that come late to the USA, Aprilia too.1 point

It seems to be pretty easy to find here. A quick internet search brought about 10 hits. If it gets too hard, I could get you a couple of feet and send it over.1 point

In the US you can get it from Wallmart and Amazon. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Fuel-Line-Fuel-Hose-Rubber-12mm-I-D-1-8M-5-9FT-Diesel-Petrol-Hose-Engine-Pipe-Tubing-with-4-Clamps/9686801031 point

Indeed. A bloke might almost get a wee bit jealous looking at photos like that. That tin on the bench with the handlebar clamps on it, I've got one of those. It was a birthday present last year. I use it to store the good chocolate.1 point

Down to the wire, then @cash1000! Considering where you have been with this project over the last three months, I would say, "You've got this!" While many of us could swap out that fuel line (and keep it short enough to groom up and away from the cylinder head heat), I realize that later fuel pumps might be mounted above the spine which would require the tank removal. I reckon this is your case?1 point

Somebody just posted this on WildGuzzi, and I thought it would be interesting here too. I didn't know the MGS01 used a 6-speed transmission "modified" from a V11.1 point
