You guys are too kind. My efforts would be nothing without this worldwide community. Look at the continuity we have here. A web-based forum over twenty years old? With contributors dating that far back. Seriously, that is pretty much unheard of on the web, or even with specialty "clubs." @Admin Jaap has given us such a great, and consistent, arena here all this time. All y'all just rock!7 points

I'm the one who brought and rode the V11 and 14 Custom. My son Gus rode the Norge and our buddy Tim rode his Harley. We packed them tight in that configuration for less wind drag at 75 mph. with 175# tongue weight. Was it overloaded, YES. Tim and Gus rode the cruisers on the way home, took off almost 2000# towing weight. SKIP3 points

May we all get to take our own shortcuts from Nayook to Noojee! I tried that from Dowelltown to DaleRidge on the way to this KSR and rode the worst "road" in my riding career. It was some combination of a Trials Course and a bombed-out battlefield. I ran off the "road" (just) once and only noticed as the surface improved up the local's driveway!3 points

This place is and has always been a god send as far as keeping these bikes on the road! Especially in the early days of ownership when having ah teething issues and getting them sorted! Even when you have it sorted it's still a bloody great place to hang out as I get the feeling we're all kinda like-minded! Anyhoo it's a credit to both Jaap and Doc and long may it continue to be such a beacon! Cheers Ps actually I see new members keep on joining so definitely doing it right....3 points

Riding with multiple V11 Sports/Lemans is a visceral experience. These bikes really have soul and bellow out a unbelievable sound, especially during a group ride. Kale mentioned on the phone recently that he could hear when our bikes sound would synchronize at the same rpm, like when tuning a musical instrument. It was an epic weekend with experiences found only at a SpineRaid .3 points

Hey guys I own a 2018 MST. Feels like a guzzi on roads. Very fast bike... handles and brakes are amazing as well. Right now a sunny day only bike... 2300 miles and no issues.2 points

Hmm, I seemed to have forgot, my very first street bike was a V4, 1985 Honda Interceptor 500. That bike was terrific!2 points

because I'm an idiot I bought a five speed clutch hub wrench, as shown it too, is useless to me the other picture shows it overlaid on the RAM (six speed) clutch hub. the pic is terrible, but they are not the same here's a possible solution. I can send the wrench to 80CX (which is something he can use) I can send the hermaphrodite clutch hub to Tom whatever 80CX wants cdr2 points

@Skip - Really awesome, your coming all that way. Added a whole dimension to the KSR. I wish I had taken some pictures of your California. That custom fairing you made for it is impressive. Top tier styling and workmanship!2 points

Yeah, at least not posted.....contact Greg at TOT to inquire about pieces/parts, I've done it for other oddball electrical stuff for my Eldo & LMIVSE. He's the owner/proprieter/manufacturer of custom motocycle wiring and is a well respected down-to-earth knowledgeable easy to talk to nice guy. Art2 points

Ha ha If I were a single man and didn't have to debate matters of finance with the minister..... I think I'd try a sportier tyre to see how they FEEL compared with sport touring tyres. I'm curious as my mate Dave runs sports tyres on his MV and we've ridden in some pretty ordinary conditions, and they've not given him any grief either. However the Angels have never given me any issues for the sort of riding I do and I get great mileage outa them.... Cheers Guzzler1 point

Lovely bike...a friend had a 1000 Interceptor also back in 1985/86 that he let me ride often enough while I was at the university. I've often thought about finding one again...that bike was intoxicating, smooth and far too fast! Ripping around the streets of La Jolla and surrounding San Diego towns on it was amazing!1 point

80CX, Doc is of course correct. But. The internal spline is five speed. The external spline is six speed. Won't fit your clutch plate. It's half and half. 80CX got here first, fair and square. But it won't do what he thinks. TomChri also wants it and knows exactly what it is. AFAIAC it's 80CX unless he wants to forfeit to Tom. Ball is in 80CX court. If you don't mind confirming you still want it, it will let me feel like I have served fairness. Or something. Thanks for everyone's patience. Sorry for confusion. cdr1 point

My buddy had a Honda VFR 800, 1998 model I think. That was a great bike to ride, had plenty of power, sounded good, was surprisingly slim as the V4 was transverse to the frame, and wasn't heavy. It never gave him any trouble... it was a Honda after all .1 point

I had a buddy from Chattanooga that owned a Motus, he bought from the Indian motorcycle dealer that carried Motus, Crockett Powersports. He paid mid 30's for the top model Motus and said it was a good bike. When the companies investment money dropped out they stopped producing parts like the frame, so he sold it to a NASCAR driver who pulled up in his driveway and gave him 24K. So it was a huge loss inevitably, but a cool design. Crockett's has had a Motus for sale up until recently, maybe he sold it.1 point

I remember the Motus, and would have bought one had they actually made it to market at a reasonable price. I would also love for Guzzi to make a V4. I am not one of those that thinks Guzzi can only make transverse V twins. I looked at a CTX1300, but also felt it was way to big and heavy. But it wasn't made for me, it was made for people who want a big bike. I would love a V4, or a six, or an eight. Whether Guzzi made it or someone else would make or break the deal. I have come close to buying a Tuono V4. Just can't get past their looks.1 point

I have a side stand that was sold as in good condition. When it turned up, it had a hero chamfer like my original, so never fitted it. Now a decade hence, not likely to now. PM what it is worth to you and your send to address.1 point

Yes. As I mentioned further up, that is the plan of the moment. In fact I was in the garage today, and all set to try out the procedure with pumping the tank empty using Guzzidiag to activate the pump. I have the connectors and some fuel line to plug onto the fuel pump. For anyone who doesn't know: unplug the power to the fuel pump and start the bike. Let it run until it runs out fuel. There is then no more pressure in the fuel lines, and they are easy to disconnect. Pull the fuel lines off, and plug on a bit of fuel line with a connector, start Guzzidiag and activate the fuel pump to empty the tank. Catch the fuel in a fuel canister. It was expensive to buy, and makes a mess on the garage floor. Problem was, the laptop that I have prepared for Guzzidiag exploits froze up when I started it in the garage. I think it probably tried to run an update when I started it. Whatever, it didn't react to the touchpad, and I had to force a shutdown. When I started it later at home, everything worked. I hate Windows. Having failed to achieve that, I greased the sidestand to make myself feel better, and poked around and looked at few things. I'm even more convinced now that the oil leak is coming out of the breather hose. All very oily there.1 point

Yeah, for me too. I still have my Kawasaki 1000 GTR. Great bike, actually, but very heavy. It's up for sale soon.1 point

I expect that a gearbox from a crashed bike could be cracked if the engine got a smack from the front.0 points
