I am not sure what the best solution is, but I know that it doesn’t include this: I really like the watch -- #002/300 -- as a memento of good moto-times, but it is decidedly not from Glashütte. Have had it for 15 years or so. Stopped running about 10 years ago. Had watch shops in Davenport, Iowa, and, later, one in Fort Lauderdale, try to fix. Seemed to work awhile, then went back to sleep. One of the repair shops said that wearing it while riding a motorcycle transmitted too much vibration. Hmmmmm. OK, but more than flying one of these? I'll bet that those controls buzzed as much as a big block Guzzi! Anyway, a nice watch; wish it worked. Think I’ll send it here, http://www.watchrepairsusa.com, and hope for the best. Bill5 points

I wore mine (#11) daily up until about 6 months ago. Wore it to work in my auto shop as well as riding. The abuse was never an issue. Then I dropped it on a concrete floor. I picked it up and the winding weight was spinning freely. It still works but will not self wind. I'm looking for a reliable repair too. I've replaced it as my daily wear watch with a Hamilton automatic. Still I'd love to get the MG watch repaired.3 points

If you look at the part catalog for the Griso, which has the clutch bleeder extension pipe, you’ll find the right banjo bolt methink. All the other parts you listed are correct. https://www.af1racing.com/ProdImages/st3/GU088.pdf#page37 Hopefully Scud will be along to confirm.3 points

Well, I just had this "delivered" yesterday... seriously, the previous owner rode it 40 miles and delivered it to my house for "free" (well, "included") ...good guy It's a 1998 California V11 EV ...so it's technically on-V11-topic I've never been a "cruiser" guy, but this was just up the road, looked great (Californias have grown on me over 20 years, but I used to really not like them to be honest), and was really cheap. So I thought for the price I could risk giving it a try. Plus it came with bags I've wanted for a while, that would have been 20% of the cost of the entire bike! The previous owner apparently was the national sales manager for MG in the USA in the early 90s when Moto America was the importer, located right down the road in tiny Lillington, NC. He said he almost certainly sold this bike to the dealership (if you can call the small shops selling MG back then "dealerships"), that sold the bike to its first owner, who he then bought it from 2 years ago. This guy has a garage full of BMWs and MGs, and is very fastidious about his equipment, and the first owner was apparently a mechanic who was also very keen on upkeep. So hopefully that bodes well for the overall bike. But definitely an interesting chain of custody. It has 41k miles, and is in excellent condition, with some understandable patina from its 26 years and a few small paint scratches and chips, but overall in remarkably good condition, especially as a "10 footer". Other than the seat and big plexiglass National Cycle fairing, it appears to be completely stock I have to replace the big Corbin seat with something similar to stock though, both for aesthetics (ruins the lines in my opinion), and more importantly because it really is too tall for me with that big couch2 points

I just bought this one, a 1998 EV. The fellow I bought if from created a great-looking T3 clone from an identical blue 1998 EV as well. It seemed like the "best of both worlds" with great classic looks, but some of the modern features and styling elements that one might think would be cool to have. It didn't look like a very difficult conversion, so his results definitely got my mental wheels turning2 points

Hey Paul, have you checked Formotion? They have nice instruments designed for motorcycle and such at Timex prices (Guzzi content). https://www.formotionproducts.com2 points

@samdroid When you look for Italian brands, such as Veglia, you need to set your location to Italy using some kind of VPN service. It also helps if you write the search criterion in local language. I got plenty of hits, however this one is on eBay so it is easy to access. Here's the link. You need to make contact with the seller, because he may refuse to ship outside of Europe. Also note that he sold 479 items, so he is not just a casual seller using eBay to get rid of some of the family jewels. Note the 95.7% feed-back, which is low. 100 EUR for this instrument is nothing! my V11 had the odometer not working, and I spent a long time looking for a replacement; all I could find were complete clusters between 500 and 1000 USD! Good luck!2 points

"TIMEX" does not equal A.Lange&Söhne in any measure, yet our V11 seem worthy of (mostly) analog solutions . . .2 points

My TIMEX on the Sport is from their INDIGLO® series and has the backlight function when the stem is pressed . Thirty bucks and enough variety to find a face and bezel to match most instruments. Don't laugh at the thirty bucks. That is more than four times what I paid for the last couple "clocks" on mySport. I actually looked at cheap watch racks for a long time before stumbling across somethng to match my GB instruments (grey face, Arabic numerals, chrome bezel) . . .1 point

I haven't worn a watch for years. Everyone carries a phone. A wristwatch is a fashion accessory. I might occasionally wear my GrandDad's Hamilton given to him by Sun Oil for 25 years service. It is a sleek gold classic looker, as a time piece so-so. I have a Seiko that hasn't been touched in 5 years but still appears to be keeping good time.1 point

I stopped wearing a watch decades ago,but I've got an older, cheap silver pocket watch I like to have with me if I need to keep track of time;I'll probably mcgyver a way to fasten it to my tank bags. Bill & Dan, I'm just thinking out loud; re both of you having those fine guzzi time pieces in need of repair. Iirc Scout63? over on WG is apparently Swiss & I "think" his area of expertise is watch & clock repair. He might be able to help yous or at least point you in the right direction. fwiw fyi1 point

I had some spare banjo bolts and new washers on-hand. Sorry I don't know the part numbers. But I'd feel 99% confident getting the ones @speedfrog mentioned.1 point

This is a good question. The Speedhut I installed has a setting to interpret the incoming signal. Not sure what you mean by "1:1" . . . [edit: After seeing that @PJPR01 just posted that he found a rare V11 part at TLM/Nijmegen, I found this: https://tlm.nl/moto-guzzi-triumph/us-02767200-used-toerenteller-cal-ev02-v11-10-quota Says "used", but that needle looks mighty orange (as it should coming from The Netherlands! ) . . .1 point

Hey, @Scud, I'm getting ready to order parts so I can do this remote clutch bleed installation some time; Can you please confirm the banjo bolt & washers for the Brembo Brake Calipers that you used. I checked on Harper's site https://www.harpermoto.com/parts-lookup/2000-2009-moto-guzzis/v-11-cat.-1100-2003-2004/front-brake-system/ They list the following for the front calipers 19 AP8113003 Oil pipe screw * 20 AP8113004 Washer 10x14x1,6* (x 2 required) Am I correct that I've Id'd the correct banjo bolt and washers to attach the "Float Chamber Clutch Pipe" part # 05606630 replacing my existing bleeder screw? They also list a different part # and slightly different description for the rear brake banjo bolt/gaskets,fwiw. Tia ps Docc if it makes for tidier info management and you want to somehow link this to Scud's compatible parts post, please do so. tks1 point

14k. I dont think mine was taken care of particularly well. Plus IDK how anybody can get to those front unis with the access it has, or really lack of. Easy to grease with it all apart though. Mine dont feel the best, both fore and aft, so they will be replaced.1 point

Just give the Siemens relays the flotation test, Art. They were known to fail in the 98 EVs when they were new. Age related failures? I gots em.. "If it don't hurt, it don't work.."1 point

Or you could buy a house with a sundial for the price of one of their timepieces... You wouldn't have to worry about grit bringing it to a halt and it would still indicate time a thousand years from now1 point
